Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is not specifically labeled for Japanese beetles but likely would kill them if sprayed directly with the product during treatment. For residual control instead, you may use a product such as Talstar P. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is labeled for spiders as a surface spray and should be mixed at 1 part concentrate with 4 parts water for severe infestations and 1 part concentrate to 9 parts water for maintenance applications. Pyrethrins do not leave a long residual.
For spiders, since they die primarly through eating insects that have crossed the treated area, we recommend using a microencapsulated insecticide that will leave a longer residual like Cyzmic CS. Our Spider Control Kit has everything you need.
Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate, like most insecticides, is not specifically tested or labeled for use on marijuana plants so we cannot comment or recommend it for this use. Customers will need to make their own decision as to what they consider safe. Some of these products are natural and organic and others are not. Some products, like the miticides, probably shouldn't be used when the plants are flowering. You may also try reaching out to the manufacturer for advice.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate should be applied to listed areas when the cats are not present. They can return once the treated areas are completely dry.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate can kill those ants that are sprayed directly during application only.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is not OMRI listed.
No, Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate does not work as a repellent for insects. When an insect comes into contact with the treated area or eats it, their nervous system over-excites and quickly leads to paralysis then death. Pyrethrin does not have a long residual and is a very fast-acting, quick kill active ingredient. It is commonly added with other insecticides to give it an extra kick to the residual insecticide.
We are not certain as to what temperature the Southern AG Pyrethrin Concentrate freezes. We do, however, know that when temps are lower and the product is left outdoors to freeze, the effectiveness of the product can be compromised. Please store the product at room temperature with no extreme temperatures to sustain the products’ active ingredient.
Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate can be used indoors around the baseboards and cracks and crevices.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is labeled to kill beetles including Japanese Beetles. The label just does not break down every species it controls.
While Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate can be tank mixed with residual insecticides labeled for fleas and IGR’s to stop the growth cycle, you would not tank mix a pyrethrin insecticide with a non repellent insecticide like Alpine WSG. This will void the non repellency of the active ingredient Dinotefuran.
For outdoor applications treating fleas, a residual insecticide such as Talstar P would be a better tank mixing partner along with the Tekko Pro IGR.
Please view our Flea Treatment Guide for more information.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is not labeled for such an application. We are unaware of any pyrethrin based product labeled for a spot on application on dogs.

A part can be any measurement. For instance if you use one cup concentrate you would then need to use 19 cups of water. If treating for mosquitoes at the 1:19 ratio, you would use 8 oz of Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate with 152 oz of water or 1.25 gallons of water.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate does not mention corn on the label, so we cannot recommend using it on your corn. If you tell us what you are trying to treat for, we can help you find a product that will work.
Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is labeled for use on dogs and on outdoor areas suchs as kennels and dog pens as directed. This product will kill adult fleas, but it does not affect the immature fleas or flea eggs.
For treating outdoors or in animal pens, adding an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) such as Archer IGR is strongly recommended for better flea control and to stop immature fleas from maturing into adults.
Please view our Flea Treatment Guide for additional information.
