    Does the Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate kill squash bugs?

    The Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate is not labeled for squash bugs or for use on squash.  We do carry the Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin Insecticide that is labeled for squash bugs and will do great job controlling them when used as directed on the product label.

    If I spray Southern Ag on my kids wood swingset, will it keep carpenter bees away?
    A

    We do not recommend applying any chemicals to child's playset. You will want to treat the structure and holes to eradicate Carpenter Bees. To treat your home, we recommend applying the products in our Carpenter Bee Kits. Please refer to the labels for mixing and application instructions.

    What is the shelf life of an opened container? The shelf life of an unopened container? What is the recommended way to store unused containers, open or unopened?

    Does Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate work on the Brown marmorated stink bug?

    Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate will kill the stink bugs that you make direct contact with while applying but it does not leave a residual.  For more long term control we have put together an Overwintering kit that is just for stink bugs. This kit includes Demon WP insecticide with Cypermethrin, Eco PCO dust and a hand duster for easy application. You should treat once a month through November for best results.

    Can Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate be used on wasps?

    Per the product label, Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate can be used as a space spray for wasps. You will use 1 oz per 1000 cubic feet of space. It needs to be sprayed upwards. The area also needs to be closed off for at least 10 minutes. You will ventilate and sweep up and destroy dead and fallen insects before reoccupying the room.     Will Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate kill crawfish in yard?
    Lawn is overrrun with crawfish. I read a study from Arizona Game and Fish Dept that Pyrethrin will kill crayfish. Wondering if this product will do the trick.

    No, Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate it not labeled for crayfish. The only item that we have that is specifically labeled for crayfish is a trap. The Model Double Door Crayfish Live Trap has double doors that latch and unlatch easily.

    Is Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate toxic to dog if diluted and sprayed and dog licks himself?
    I understand this product is safe for small dogs when diluted and sprayed on dog. My dog tends to lick himself a lot. So if the diluted formula is sprayed and he does lick the product will it be toxic?

    Can the Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate be applied to marijuana plants for spiders?
    A

    Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate, like most insecticides, are not specifically tested or labeled to be used on marijuana plants. Although, no insecticide on the market is labeled for marijuana, some customers have found success using the Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate (OMRI Certified) for mites and a wide variety of insects. Be sure to check the product label for specific use instructions and do not apply to marijuana plants while they are flowering.

    Can you Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate be used in a fly system in a horse barn to treat for mites. put this in a fly system in a horse barn?
    A

    Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is not labeled for use in misting systems.  For a misting system, we suggest Martins Permethrin 10% plus Martins SynerPRO Syngergist for a 55-gallon drum. For light to moderate infestations, use ½ gallon Martins Permethrin 10% with 7 fl oz Martins SynerPro Synergist in a 55-gallon drum. For heavy infestations or difficult pests, use 1 gallon Martins 10% Permethrin with 16 fl oz Martins SynerPRO in 55 gallon drum. 

    Treating the horses directly with a Martins Permethrin 36.8% would be recommended to protect the animals against horn flies, face flies, stable flies, house flies, horse flies, black flies, eye gnats, mange mites, scabies mites, ticks, lice, and fleas. Mix rate is 0.25 fl oz per 16 fl oz of water and applied at 1-2 fl. oz. spray per animal. Spot treat back, face, legs, tail and ears. Please refer to the product label and consult with your veterinarian before treating.

    Will this Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate work good with Precor for flea treatments or should I use a residual pesticide instead?
    I have been using Permethrin and Precor for my flea problem but we don't like the smell. I know this product is not residual but would it get rid of my flea problem faster?
    A

    Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate can be mixed with Precor IGR for indoor applications. Most pyrethroids do contain a smell but will eventually dissipate. We carry NyGuard Plus that contains the growth regulator and a deodorizer for indoor applications. We also carry products for outdoor flea treatments. To speed up the elimination of fleas, vacuum once a day for 14 days following the application (even on hard surfaced floors). A minimum of two applications two weeks apart will be required.     If I mix Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate with paint, will it deter termites?
    I read that pyrethrins can be mixed with paint to deter and kill termites, and that mixed with paint, it will last for a long time--is this true?

    No, Southern Ag Natural Pyrethrin Concentrate cannot be mixed paint and applied. It should only be mixed with water and applied indoors and/or outdoors for the listed pests.

    Can I use this on the flower beds and in the mulch without killing my plants?

    Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate is safe for most ornmentals in mulched areas. You should avoid directly spraying petals.

    Is one part one ounce of Southern Ag Pyrethrin per gallon?
    A

    The use rate of Southern Ag Pyrehrin Concentrate will depend on what you're treating for and what type of equipment you're using. One part can be any measurement. For example, if the label says to use 1 part of Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate to 7 parts of water and you use 1 cup of the concentrate you would then use 7 cups of water.
