Model SP30 Squirrel Pack Small - Is a squirrel removal system that consists of (1) E30 excluder and (2) SPT30 repeating traps. The repeating traps have one trap door and an easy release door. Let the critters remove themselves with this system. Perfect for flying squirrels, red squirrels, and small rodent-sized animals. Extremely easy to use and very effective. Attach the excluder over the animals' den opening with the mounting wings, slide the repeating trap over the excluder and hook into place. As critters exit, the excluder will direct them into the repeating trap. Model SP30 is constructed from 1/2" x 1" - 16 gauge galvanized steel mesh and weighs 3 lbs.

Find the entrance

While I'm confident that the live trap will do its job, it can't if you don't locate the entrance. Make certain that you have identified the entrance before buying the live trap otherwise the live trap won't work as designed.

I purchased an SP30 to get rid of flying squirrels in the attic after trying organic granules, an audible pest repeller, and live traps. Nothing worked. In less than two days, after installation of the SP30, I captured four flying squirrels. The SP30 has been a great relief.

Pesky squirrels in attic

I'm thinking of mounting the trap in the vertical position and wondering if trap door will close. I have flying squirrels coming out the bottom of my soffit so wondering if this will work.
The door on the Excluder that is part of the SP30 Squirrel Pack removal system is not spring-loaded, so it needs to be set horizontally to be effective. These will not work if mounted vertically.

1. What size is this cage W L D.? 2. Is there a trap that traps from the top instead of side?
The SP30 - Squirrel Pack Squrrel Removal System is a combination of 2 traps: the E30 which is 3W x 3D x 11L, and 2 SPT30's which are 3.5W x 3.5D x 24L. The E30 would fit over the end of the SPT30 . The second SPT30 is a spare that can be used while transporting the squirrels. Unfortunatley, there is not a trap that traps from the top.
