    Q
When spraying Specticle FLO at half rates, how safe is this on perennial rates in overseeded situations?
Over seeded Bermuda grass with perennial ryegrass. I am wanting to see if at a 4 ounce rate 8 weeks apart, will this damage the perennial rye?
    A
We apologize but we no longer carry Specticle FLO. We recommend for your special application question that that you contact the manufacturer Bayer directly at 1-866-99-BAYER.

    Q
What is the timing of applying Specticle FLO?
If I apply in Fall, it tells to follow up with another treatment 45-90 days later. If you do that, will there be a need to re-apply a pre emergent in the spring?
    A
The need for a spring application of a pre-emergent is almost always needed, but it truly is going to be dependent on the weeds you are primarily looking to prevent and when they germinate the most in your area. You can often consult with your local cooperative extension office or local master gardner to find out when the weeds you are looking to target germinate in your area for a better idea of application intervals that will best suit your needs for thorough application and results.

    Q
How much do you mix per gallon for use in a tank sprayer?
I read the label on how much to use on an acre, but for those of us with tank sprayers I would prefer to know an amount of product per gallon of water.
    A
As with most herbicides the exact volume of water is not very important, you just need to be sure you are getting the correct amount of product on a specific area. Specticle FLO may be applied at different rates depending on the turf you are spraying on and the weeds you are trying to control. If you are using the highest rate of 10oz per acre, it breaks down to roughly 0.23 oz of Specticle per 1000 sq/ft in no less than 1-2 gallons of water for full and even application. The thing you have to keep in mind is that the water is the carrier with herbicides, not the diluter. So whether you mix the .23oz of Specticle in 1 gallon and spread it over 1000 sq/ft, or in 5 gallons over a 1000 sq/ft, both are correct. For maximum weed control with broadcast applications, add non-ionic surfactant

    Q
Does Specticle FLO have any post emergent effects?
    A
Specticle FLO is a selective, preemergence alkylazine herbicide for use on warm season turfgrasses. It is not intended for post emergent applications and likely will not have much post emergent effect.
