Spectre 2 SC is labeled for roaches and should do a good job. This can be used indoors and outdoors. Indoors, you will spray around the cracks, crevices and baseboards in the problem areas. Once the product is dry, it is safe for any children and/or pets to return to the area. Outdoors, you will spray around the perimeter of your home. The good thing about this product is that it is a non-repellent. This means that the roaches will not detect it when they come in contact with it. They will just get it on themselves and die as well as carrying it back to the colony and spreading it throughout.
Another good item to use is Gentrol IGR (insect growth regulator). This will stop the roaches from reproducing. It can be mixed in the same tank as Spectre.
Exterior application of Spectre 2 SC is limited to spot and crack/crevice treatments where pests enter the structure such as around doors, windows, eaves, attic vents, and holes in exterior walls where utilities enter.
You will mix 1.5 fluid ounces of Spectre 2 SC per 1 gallon of water.
Spectre 2 SC has the same active ingredient as Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide but they have different applications. Phantom can be used for termites while Spectre cannot. Neither should be mixed with another insecticide such as Demand CS or Permethrin SFR.
Spectre 2SC is labeled to be used for the treatment of bed bugs as a crack and crevice spray, around baseboards, doors and windows, and plumbing and pipe fixtures. It is recommended to use additional products to successfully treat for bedbugs as it takes more than one product to treat the problem successfully. A great start would be to take a look at our bed bug guide, which will direct you to our best products that have been most effective on eradicating bed bugs, as well as give you video guides and helpful hints to make the process most effective.
Once Spectre 2 SC has been mixed with water, the solution must be used or discarded within 24 hours.
The kill time for Spectre 2 SC can vary from hours to a couple days. It will depend on how much the insect picked up on it’s body and the health of the insect at the time. When treating for bedbugs, a single product should not be used exclusively. Multiple products are recommended. Please take a look at our Bed Bug Treatment Guides and Videos for proper treatment procedures.
Spectre 2 SC is safe inside around cats when used as directed. Pets should be out of the treatment area during application until dry, typically at least an hour.
Exterior application of Spectre 2 SC is limited to spot and crack/crevice treatments where pests enter the structure such as around doors, windows, eaves, attic vents, and holes in exterior walls where utilities enter. Apply a maximum of 1.2 fl oz of dilution per 2 square feet.
The product label of Spectre 2 SC does not give instructions for using for termites so would not be recommended. We would recommend Phantom iTermiticide nstead which as the same active ingredient and is labeled for termites.

Spectre 2 SC when used as directed on the product label. Be sure the person with asthma is out of the area while the product is being applied and they can come back when the area is completely dry. You may also want to contact the asthmatic persons physician prior to the application just to be sure there will be no issues.
Once the Spectre 2 SC has dried, anywhere from a couple of hours to 4 or 5 hours, occupants and pets can re enter the home.
Please view the product label for more information.
Spectre 2 SC is not labeled for fleas indoors.
The most effective treatment for fleas indoors would be our Indoor Flea Kit as this contains the insecticide + IGR aerosol and Cimexa Dust. Keep people and pets out of the rooms/home while treating and until the application has completely dried. Repeat treatments should be done every 14 days with vacuuming frequently between treatments.
