Per the label instructions for SpeedZone Southern Herbicide, it is not necessary to add any type of adjuvant to SpeedZone Southern as it is already designed for rapid penetration and uptake. All adjuvants including surfactants, spreader stickers, detergents etc. will change the physical and biological properties of this product, which are often antagonistic, and show no significant influence on efficacy. SpeedZone Southern Herbicide is a post emergent which will kill the weeds that have emerged, it will not prevent weeds from growing.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide should not be applied to newly laid sod until it has been mowed at least twice or has been 30 days since installed as it can inhibit the growth and establishment if applied too soon. Only time will tell if the sod will survive or should be replaced.
Tank mixing is not recommended unless your experience indicates that the tank mxture will not result in turf injury. When tank mixing certain herbicides with other selective herbicides, surfactants, etc, this can reduce the selectivity of the herbicide resulting in injurying or killing the grass. We recommend doing a small compatibility test in a glass jar to ensure the two herbicides mix properly and then do a small test application in the lawn to determine sensitivity. Do not broadcast over the lawn without doing a test application first.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide should only be applied to desired, listed turfgrass species to target listed weeds when they are young and actively growing. It should not be applied to desired groundcovers or other areas that are not listed on the product label.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide should not harm bees as long as they are not sprayed directly. It would be best to apply early morning when they are not in the area to avoid contact.
The main difference between SpeedZone Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate and SpeedZone Southern Herbicide would be the types of turf grasses they are labeled for use on. You can mix and apply other herbicides with SpeedZone Southern Herbicide as long as you first perform a small jar test for compatability. You also need to be sure to follow the most restrictive label when mixing products, and be sure that you are using the correct rates for each product. Keep in mind, also, that pre-emergent herbicides will need to be watered in with rainfall or irrigation within the amount of time specified on the label, while a post-emergent like the SpeedZone Southern should have at least 24 hours without rainfall or irrigation for best results.
Please note that Speedzone Southern has been discontinued and replaced with Speedzone Southern Herbicide EW.

Dismiss NXT Herbicide is labeled to suppress dallisgrass, meaning that you will need multiple applications and/or other cultural or chemical treatments to completely eradicate the weed.
