    Q
Can Sulfentrazone 4SC Select Herbicide be used safely on Floratam varieties of St. Augustine/Centipede in South Florida?
    A

Sulfentrazone 4SC Select is labeled to be used on St. Augustine lawn but the label doesn't specify Floratam as tolerant or restricted.

The product label does adivse that "St. Augustine grass and some varieties of bahiagrass, rough bluegrass or zoysiagrass, particularly turfgrass that has been stress-weakened can experience temporary leaf surface discoloration (removed upon mowing) upon application of Sulfentrazone 4SC Select. Chemicals, certain cultural practices, disease, mechanical exposure and cultivation, and weather can all be causes of stress-weakened turf."

    Q
How many months of control will Sulfentrazone 4SC Select Herbicide provide when applied for pre emergent control of sedges in a bermudagrass lawn?
    A

Sulfentrazone 4SC is not used as a true pre-emergent it only has pre-emergent properties when applied as a post. The control of listed germinating weed species will be reduced when rain or irrigation follows a period of dry weather but it will not provide long term true pre-emergent control for an extended amount of time.

Pennant Magnum is one of the only selective pre emergents labeled for annual sedge and yellow nutsedge, otherwise you would treat actively growing nutsedge with a post emergent such as Sedgehammer or Dismiss NXT

In general, using Dimension 2EW or Prodiamine 65 WDG for all around pre emergent control will help improve the overall health of your lawn therefore reducing the conditions for weeds to thrive.

    Q
Can I mix sulfentrazone with Roundup for Lawns to spot treat nut sedge and weeds on tall fescue?
    A
We would not recommend mixing Sulfentrazone 4SC Select Herbicide with a non selective herbicide like Roundup that will also kill your lawn.
