    Q
I just had my house treated for springtails using Suspend SC and approximately 6 hours after being treated I
noticed significantly more activity from the springtails than normal. Is this common before the chemical starts to take effect??
    A
Suspend SC can take up to 24 hours to work. It is not a contact kill and needs time in order for it to work. Please give the product more time for it to work. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Asked by L. from Philadelphia, Pa

    Q
Are you sure Suspend SC is safe to use if you have cats?
I read that cats cannot process pyrethrins. While Suspend SC is supposed to be applied to crevices, the carpet still gets damp where it meets the wall and sometimes you'll get a puddle under the stove or fridge where you have to wipe up the excess. Have any long term studies been done around pets?
    A
Suspend SC is labeled to be safe for pets if they are not in the area during the application and while the surfaces are still wet. Once they are completely dry, they can return to the area that you have applied the product. The product will not reactivate if it gets wet again. Please contact Bayer for information on the studies that they have performed for long term safety. They can be reached at (800) 331-2867.

  • Asked by Laura from Broadway Va

    Q
Caterpillar infestation on my evergreen and rose bushes
I have sprayed Sevin concentrate 2 days in a row and my bushes are still filled with them. Help
    A
Suspend SC is labeled for Caterpillars. Directly spray the plant foliage and nest. The larvae are usually easy to contact if spraying is done in late morning when the larvae congregate on the tent surface to warm in the sun. Mechanical control is also helpful with this pest. The egg masses are easy to spot after the leaves have dropped in the fall. Simply clip off and crush or drop into a bucket of soapy water.

Living in CT and live Suspend SC
I bought this product when living in NC but have moved to CT. It says this cannot be shipped to CT. Is there another comparable product that kills ticks as effectively? I would like one exactly like Suspend SC

Fenvastar EcoCap would be a great product to consider. It works just as well as Suspend but can be shipped to CT.

  • Asked by Philip from Saginaw

    Q
Is this Suspend SC safe for wildlife (birds, lizards) and beneficial insects?
I am concerned about affecting birds, lizards, and earthworms if I were to use this product.
    A
Suspend SC is not selective and will eliminate any insect that contacts the treated area, including beneficial insects. You can help eliminate the impact on beneficial insects by limiting the application to only areas where actually needed. After the prdocut has dried it is not harmful to other animals.

My Tenant complaints that the house has scopions. Can I apply Suspen SC to treat this problem? Thank you?
This rental house is in Glendale AZ
    A
Suspend SC will treat for scorpions. We would recommend to use Suspend Polyzone in AZ for scorpions, because it will stand up better to UV rays.

  • Asked by Dan from Swanton Ohio
    06/25/2015
    Q
How does Suspend compare to Bifen / Talstar for mosquitos. Is there a longer residual with Suspend?
    A
The outdoor residual effects of Suspend SC, Bifen IT, and Talstar P are all 30 days outdoors. However, if you would like a longer outdoor residual then Suspend Polyzone would be ideal for your mosquito control needs. Suspend Polyzone has a 90 day residual outdoors utilizing the same active ingredient as the regular Suspend SC but the added polymer allows the insecticide to adhere to surfaces better and resist the elements of weather.

  • Asked by Darrien from Laveen, Az
    07/02/2015
    Q
What is the difference between Suspend SC and Suspend Polyzone? Which one is newer?
I am a longtime customer and usually buy Suspend SC. I noticed they now make a Suspend Polyzone. I am trying to determine which one is better. I know they are made by the same company.
    A
Suspend Polyzone is the newer, better version of Suspend SC. Suspend Polyzone has a polymer added to its formulation that enable it to last 90 days outdoors and work better on porous surfaces. Suspend SC will only last about 30 days outdoors.

    Q
Is Suspend SC too thick to use with a hose-end sprayer?
I cannot get Suspend SC to work with my hose end sprayer.
    A

Yes, Suspend SC may be used in hose-end sprayers. Be sure to check the instructions for the hose-end sprayer that you are using as some hose-end sprayers require water to be added to the resevoir with the insecticide, while other hose-end sprayers do not. Make sure to shake the Suspend SC well prior to use.

    Q
Can I apply Suspend SC or Suspend Polyzone with a backpack powered mistblower? Why or Why not?
    A

We contacted Solo and they said that any herbicide or insecticide (including Suspend SC and Suspend Polyzone) can be used in the Solo Mist Blower 451. So any product that would be diluted with water in the tank will work fine.

  • Asked by Kalee from Huntingdon, Tennessee
    07/29/2015
    Q
Will Suspend SC harm my dogs? What about birds, snakes, or lizards?
Some of them eat bugs and I don't want one to die from it.
    A

Suspend SC will not harm animals as long as it is used as directed.  You will need to keep pets out of the area while you are applying the product and until it has dried completely.  You may notice a reduction in the population of birds, snakes, and lizards over time, since Suspend SC will be killing the insects that are their food source, which will cause them to leave the area in order to find food elsewhere.

  • Asked by Osvaldo from Tampa, Fl
    08/15/2015
    Q
Can I use Suspend SC inside for roaches?
How many ounces do I use for a 3 gallon sprayer?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled for roaches, and should do a great job helping you eliminate the infestation. You would use .25 to 1.5 ounces per gallon of water.  We recommend that in addition to a concentrated liquid insecticide like Suspend SC you also use a high quality roach bait gel, as well as an insect growth regulator to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches. We would actually recommend one of our Roach Control Kits.  We also have some great advice here "How To Treat for Roaches".

  • Asked by Maureen from Scottsdale, Az
    08/23/2015
    Q
After sprayer Suspend SC, how long does it take pests to die?
We sprayed ticks directly, and they are still alive and kicking 24 hours later.
    A

Suspend SC is a residual product so it will not kill a tick if sprayed directly. The amount of time the product takes to kill will depend on the pest in general. It could take one week or just a few days.

  • Asked by Mario from Conroe. Tx
    09/07/2015
    Q
Is Suspend SC effective to eliminate German roaches?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled to eradicate roaches including German roaches that come into contact with the treated areas. This should not be the only product used for treatment. We recommend that you incorporate an insect growth regulator (IGR) and a professional roach bait gel (in areas that are not treated with Suspend SC). Please take a few moments to review our treatment article, How to Get Rid of Roaches Article, for more helpful information.

  • Asked by Joel from Cullman, Al
    10/20/2015
    Q
I have Brown Recluse Spiders: What is the best treatment?
Can I mix Zenprox ec and Suspend Polyzone for a quick action then long term treatment?
    A

There would be no need to mix Zenprox with Suspend. That would be a waste of product. Suspend SC would be the best option for Brown Recluse Spider control. Suspend SC leaves a clear residual on surfaces that keeps on killing pests for up to 3 months.

  • Asked by Kori from Kentucky
    11/08/2015
    Q
Am I using Suspend SC correctly for bedbugs?
I ordered Suspend SC a few weeks ago, it has not helped with our bedbugs. The infestation is not tgat bad but we live in an apt and I believe our neighbor has them. Our sons are both allergic to bug bites, what can we do different, or are we doing something wrong?
    A

Suspend SC used to be the go to product for bed bug control. However, there have been signs that some strains of bed begs have become resistant to it since it has been used so much. Still, bed bug control has much better success if you use a variety of products. Our bed bug kits have many products that are considered the top bed bug control products and our kits also come with full instructions. They have a very high success rate with our customers and your best chance of eliminating a bed bug infestation. Also, even using the best products it will take time to eliminate the entire problem at hand. Theres no way of knowing just how many are there and it can take weeks to even a few months to get rid of every last one depending on the level of infestation and how thorough you are being with your weekly retreatments. If your neighbor has them, that should not be affecting your apartment unless they are heavy in the other unit, you have brought something from their unit into yours to allow them to spread, or unless they are doing improper treatments in their unit to cause them to spread.

You can go over all the proper steps it takes to effectively eliminate bedbugs by browsing the how to videos and step by step instructins in our guide.
