Talstar P Professional Insecticide cannot be applied on animals. Permethrin SFR can be used on cattle for flies.
Talstar P is labeled for spider control, however, it can be toxic to bees if they're sprayed directly or if they land on the residual. It is not harmful to birds but it is recommended to keep them and all animals out of the area while making an application. Once the application is completely dry, it's safe. If you prefer to spray something that will be non-toxic to bees once it's dry, you can use Mavrik Perimeter.
Talstar P Professional Insecticide is labeled safe for ornamental trees such as spruce trees for listed pests.
Yes, Talstar P Professional Insecticide has a secondary product label specifically for treating Spotted Lantern Flies.
Talstar P is not labeled for nor recommended for bird mites. Onslaught Insecticide would be a better option and is labeled for mites in general.
Yes. Fish and aquatic invertebrates share many of the same biological characteristics as insects making them susceptible to insecticides. Talstar P's product label has these precautions:
"This pesticide is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift and run-off from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. Care should be used when spraying to avoid fish and reptile pets in/around ornamental ponds"
