Talstar P is only specifically labeled for clover mites and spider mites. It would be a good idea to get an identification of the mite species you are dealing with to be sure you choose the right product.
We do not recommend treating the inside of the home with Talstar P for flea control. It is a crack and crevice application indoors only. Fleas will be on the majority portion of the flooring and furniture. We recommendt that you treat with the products in our Indoor Flea Kit. Yes, Talstar P does a great job controlling Japanese Beetles. You will mix 1 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. Talstar P should be applied every 30 days.
We generally recommend using a pyrethroid such as Talstar P Professional Insecticide or Permethrin SFR as a preventative treatment in late spring/summer before egg hatch to protect trees. If trees are badly infested, then they should be removed and either chipped or burned.
Keep in mind that trees which become infested with bark beetles are almost always susceptible due to some other existing weakness such as drought or disease.

Talstar P (Talstar One) is safe to use around animals as long as they are out of the area while you are spraying, they can return as soon as the area is dry. Although The Talstar P (Talstar One) is safe once it's dried, you do not want to apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift and run-off from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas.
The most popular product for sod webworms is Talstar. Talstar is very effective on most insects including chinch bugs and it is gentle to plants. Time applications to control young larvae, if possible. Spot treatments may be applied when infestations are first detected and the damaged area is small. The treatment will be most effective if applied in the early evening when larvae begin feeding. Please check with your local cooperative extension office to see if a second generation is possible in one season in your region.
