Yes, the soil where Taurus SC Termiticide was applied for a termite trench treatment gets displaced due to gutters not being on the house, this could definitely lead to a lesser efficacy.
No, per the product label, you cannot trench more than 6 inches away from the foundation. If the pvc pipe that runs right next to the home, is a french drain, and is within or right below the 6 inches being dug for the trench, the best method will be to do a backfill treatment with Taurus SC. The backfill method instructs you to trench and place the soil that was removed onto a tarp, pour 1 gallon of diluted solution per 1 cubic ft of soil, mix thoroughly, return soil to trench.
The trench treatment for Subterranean Termites with termiticides such as Taurus SC requires direct soil contact in order to bond to the soil and provide the 10 year barrier protection.
If this gravel is serching for french drain purposes, you would not be able to trench and treat along that side of the home at all, or within 2 feet (24 inches) of the french drain in general. For french drains refer to page 5 of the product label for details.Taurus SC Termiticide can be applied to those previously drilled holes however since this will not make continuous direct soil contact, the trench method would be required to achieve the 10 year barrier protection against Subterranean Termites.

That info is stated on the product label and on our website specifically referring to the State of California. The verbiage on the product label is only under the California State Use Restrictions.
Taurus SC Termiticide has different rules on how it can be used in the state of California, which is what the particular instructions you are referring to correspond with. If that is not the state you are located in, then that restriction would not apply to you.In general, there would be zero reason to spray Taurus in those months as it would be a waste of treatment since insects are not active and foraging for food in the winter to be impacted by the treatment. Taurus can be used 2-4 times a year based on the mix rate used during each application, and during the times when a pest application would make sense during the warmer months of the year. While there isn't a set temp restriction, you would not use it when temps are below 45-50 degrees in most instances.
Taurus SC is not labeled to be sprayed on your yard or around trees and can cause environmental damage if used in this off-label way.
