It works!
By Mike on 08/23/2019
This was the only product that would kill a ground nest of yellow jackets. After puffing in some of the dust I could see that many instantly had it stuck to their bodies and would track it inside the nest. I've since used it on another nest and it killed that one too. I still will use spray for visible nests but when they are nesting in the ground or in a space that hides their nest I will continue to use Tempo dust.

Works
By Jon on 08/08/2011
I had a yellow jacket nest inside the siding of my house near the entrance to my kitchen off the deck. I tried the sprays you get a home depot but none worked. I ALMOST paid a guy $300 to "spray" the nest entrance. Then I thought about it and realized all I needed was the right equipment/materials a little balls. The tempo dust absolutely eliminated the yellow jacket issue within a couple days of the first treatment. I gave it a second round 3 days later for good measure. I have not seen a single yellow jacket since.

Getting Rid of Bees Part 1
By Bill on 09/07/2012
There is no Part 2 because after one time of this treat-ment, there will be no more bees! I've hired professionals that charged me $75.00 for the same product. It works great just like every other product I've purchased from "DoMyOwnPestControl"!!

THIS KILLS YELLOW JACKETS DEAD
By Jack on 09/27/2013
We had a huge yellow jacket nest in an old window air conditioner that no longer worked. Last winter we put plastic over the air conditioner on the inside of the house cause of cold weather. This summer we got a large nest, we could see them inside through the plastic. We got this tempo 1% dust and I dusted them outside at the entry and it started to kill them within minutes. I saw about 7 or 8 queens so this was a large nest. I recommend this for anyone who has a yellow jacket nest, it does the job and cost way less than a professional, as they use the same stuff. Dust them at night when they are less active.

Highly Effective
By Mark on 10/07/2013
We had a Yellow Jacket plague in the soffits in two areas of our roof. The wasps would come and go at the rate of twenty to twenty-five every thirty seconds. I waited until an hour after dark...this is key, they are much less active at night. I liberally dusted the Tempo into the small crannies where they were coming and going with a bulb applicator. The next morning there was still activity. By evening the activity had decreased and there were numerous dead wasps on the concrete below the area were I applied the Tempo. Fast forward three days and I had zero activity in the areas that had been problemed, nothing going in or out. It has now been over a month since I applied the product and wasp activity has ceased to exist. I would certainly recommend Tempo Dust as a highly effective wasp killer.

Amazing stuff. My friends want to know where I got it.
By James on 07/26/2014
I used this stuff on a nest that was inside my roof, on the edge of my house. (old house, built differently than modern ones) I wasn't even able to hit the nest directly, but the dust puffs out like a bomb and goes everywhere. Must have been 40 or so red wasp fly out from it! They didn't even attack, they just fled away. The next day I say a bunch of them lying on the ground under the nest dying slowly. Did another treatment a few days later and now they are gone all the way. Now I have a hard time even finding any red wasps around my house anymore. PS. I put some in the crevices around my kitchen where the cabinets meet the wall, and the next day started seeing dead roaches laying around. So it works for those too.

Works for Wasps
By Dj on 09/01/2014
I've been having an issue with wasps building nests near soffits and the eaves of my home for the past 2 years. I originally purchased Delta Dust because it was water proof, but it only seemed to work for a few days after the application and the wasps would come right back. I started researching for something new to try and came across Tempo dust. I applied Tempo (used a Dustick) and the next day there was a big reduction in the wasps. Applied it a second time and there has been no wasp activity that I can see. It's been two weeks and so far so good. At this point, to me, Temp 1% is a five star product.

Incredibly Effective
By Mr. on 09/27/2014
We got a yellow jacket nest going on in our walls and I was able to identify their entry point in the eave of our back porch. When I called exterminators, the bids I got were $125-200. This was too much so I tried to tackle it on my own, especially since I started to see a couple yellow jackets end up in the house. First, I emptied two cans of the spray stuff into their entry point rigging it to a broom stick and taping the trigger down. Killed a couple but the next day, there was still a capable swarm of them. Then, someone told me to use dust instead of spray so I purchased Sevin from my local hardware store, which is a general insecticide (for gardens?) and would wait until evening and dust the opening. I would get on a ladder, sprinkle about a half cup of dust and use a can of air spray (to clean computers) to blow it further into the entry point. I did this for a week straight and it still didn't do the trick. Finally, I scheduled the cheapest exterminator but they couldn't come until five days later. Meanwhile, I found this website and this product so I put in an order and postponed the exterminator. When I received it (along with a duster) I puffed about a quarter cup of the stuff (I know it's overkill) into the hole. The next day, we didn't see any yellow jackets. For a while I thought they might be staying inside since we had a cold snap. But after the weather got warmer again and we didn't see any more wasps, I realized that this stuff had really killed this huge nest in one go! I couldn't believe it! A week later, I reapplied and sealed up the hole. This stuff really works! Totally worth the money.

Nothing But Praise
By Tom on 10/10/2014
We had yellow jackets under our vinyl siding. I tried spraying wasp and hornet spray underneath it but it had no effect. I didn't know where or how far they were going into the structure (they were entering just above the crawl space). I read the reviews on Tempo 1% and decided I had nothing to lose. I also ordered the Bellow Hand Duster. I received the small package in about four days via regular mail. That night I assembled the hand duster and added the Temp dust, put on a painter's mask and some work gloves and did a quick three puffs up under the siding...and quickly retreated. The next day I went out at 5 pm which was when they all would return to the nest and I saw one or two bees flying around like they were confused and trying to figure out what happened. Just before dark I puffed three times more. The next morning at sunrise I saw no activity but puffed the area again just for good measure. I haven't seen a bee since. I had a broken water pipe under the house and the guy working on it never mentioned seeing bees, either. I will never waste my money on another product. This is the real deal and I would recommend it to everyone!

The BEST
By Ruthella on 11/16/2014
If your looking to KILL any type of Bees DEAD then this is the STUFF to use. It has NEVER failed to kill any bees we have had to use it on and we have had many types of bees here in GA on our property above and below ground. We also got the LONG extention poofer so that we can reach way UP to the TOP of our fireplace where the bees love to get inside it and nest. Just a few POOFS and the next day they are ALL DEAD!!! We won't use anything else...

1 application = yellow jacket hive dead
By Nize on 02/11/2015
i was skeptical when i read all of these 5 star reviews but i thought i'd give it a try. to deal with a yellow jacket infestation within my house wall, i put some tempo dust in a rubber squeeze bulb duster and dusted the entrance area at night when the hive is at rest. after 12 hours, my very active hive which had 4-6 wasps departing/landing per second, diminished to 1 wasp per second. after 24 hours, there was zero wasp activity. a single application. this stuff works. why mess around? :)

Tempo 1% Dust
By Tom on 10/02/2015
I had a problem with bees, and I tried every spray product on the market, with no luck. Finally, I called a local exterminator, and he wanted to charge me $200. for the service. I did some internet searches and found the Tempo 1% Dust product. I purchased it and it came three days later. I applied this to my bee area, and, they were gone in a matter of hours. This has to be one of the best purchases I ever made. This product really works and I am extremely happy with the results. If you have a similar problem, I highly recommend this product.

It worked!
By Ea on 11/21/2015
I recently bought a neglected pop-up camper at auction with a large beehive inside the power cable hookup compartment - not inside the camper although a few managed to come inside. I tried smoking them out with a smoker and it didn't work. I dusted the perimeter of the recessed outlet with Tempo 1% and next day there were still bees buzzing in and out. Applied it again and next day they were gone! I don't know where they went....only saw a few dead ones!

Not So Sure
By Hw on 09/13/2016
I've purchased other chemicals here, but this one to kill a yellow jacket infestation under our aluminum siding of our garage, it didn't seem to work like I had thought. Although, I had thought I got to their nest or harboring area maybe the dusting didn't hit where it needed to. Jury is out on this one for me.

Tempo Dust Worked like a Champ
By Michael on 09/27/2010
My mother had a very annoying problem with boxelder bugs and the commercially available products that we tried had no effect on these pests. I did some research on the internet and found that the Tempo 1% Dust formulation was quite specific to getting rid of the boxelder bugs. I ordered the product and had it shipped to mom. One day after she applied the product the bugs were gone. This was a huge relief to her as she is getting up in years and these types of annoyances really bother her. Based upon her experience with the Tempo 1% Dust, I would highly recommend this product. Also, Do My Own Pest Control did a superb job of delivering the product promptly and following up to make sure the shipment was received and effective. Thank you for a job well done!!

Tempo Dust
By Bill on 06/12/2011
We had a severe infestation of carpenter bees. The bees had burrowed out holes under the gutters and were hard to reach for treatment, but two applications wiped out 95 percent of them. The third eradicated them completely.

Bee Problem
By Mark on 08/29/2012
This product eliminated the problem after 2 applications. I've been trying to get rid of them since spring and this finally did the trick. I previously tried the Drione which was only a temporary fix, but they kept coming back. Tempo 1% is the way to go to eliminate bees.
