    Q
there are a lot of reviews for wasps bees & hornets. how effective is the Tempo Dust on german roaches?
    A
While the Tempo is a great dust and would work in wall voids and around baseboards to kill roaches of any kind as well as other pests, there are other methods that are much more effective for something has hard to control as german roaches. We recommend looking at some of our Roach Control Kits as well as our helpful article How To Get Rid of Roaches for the best, quickest, and most effective methods of elimination of the colony.

    Q
Wasps in ceiling nest between 1st and 2nd floor. What is best dust and applicator?
After reading, it seems the best dust for my issue is Tempo 1% dust. I have a wasp nest in the ceiling between 2 floors. I don't know if the area is damp or not. So, should I use Tempo or something else. Also, what is the best applicator to apply this dust (the bulb you sell or the bellow?)
    A
If you believe the area you will treat may have moisture build up, it would be best to use Delta Dust. Delta Dust is water proof and can easily be applied with any of our hand dusters. Most folk use the Centro bulb duster to apply. Also, be sure to make your application late in the evening or early morning, when wasp are less active.

    Q
How can I remove Tempo dust?
Tempo dust effectively killed the wasp population that was hiding in a wall. However, when applying the dust I put too much and now the crevice entrance is full with white dust that I want to remove. What is the easiest way to remove this from walls and ground around the crevice?
    A
To remove Tempo dust you can simply vaccum the area and then rinse with soap and water. Be sure to wear gloves while cleaning. Please call us at 866-581-7378 with any questions.

    Q
Can different dust products be mixed together? For example Tempo dust and Cimexa ?
I have experimented with Alpine dust on a live bed bug retained in a zip lock bag. The dust was purchased about 8 months ago. I put the dust in the zip lock with the bed bug. It has been over 8 days now and the bug is still very much alive, even though the dust is sticking to his exterior shell.
    A

It is not necessary to mix different types of dusts together, but it can be done. For bed bugs, we would recommend using Cimexa Dust because it can last in the wall voids for up to 10 years if it is undisturbed.

With Alpine Dust, it does either have to be injested or when the dusts gets on them, it will dry them out. Depending on the stage of life the bed bug is in, it could take up to two weeks for the bed bug to be dried out.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Will Tempo 1% dust kill or keep out wolf spiders?
also do you have anything to help with mice i dont think this dust helps with them does it?
    A

Tempo 1% Dust is labeled for spiders. When treating for spiders please keep in mind that spiders need to come in contact with a product in order for it to work. They pick up the product on the pads of their legs, and a good bit of the time will avoid area where a product had been applied. If that is the case, we recommend you make sure that all the webbing is cleaned out so that they have no habitat in the area, and that you get rid of their food source which is other pest that are in the area as well. These are the two most important things you can do when treating for spiders.

As for you for your questions regarding mice, we have several different products that can help with that isse. Please vist our page on Rodent Control to see what is available, and should you have any further questions about anything please let us know.

Can Tempo 1% Dust be used on a tile roof? The wasps are invading!!
    A

Tempo 1% Dust can be used on a tile roof, however, it will wash away in the rain and have to be re-applied. A better option would be to use Delta Dust. This is waterproof and should be applied every 7 months.

    Q
Is it dangerous to apply Tempo 1% Dust directly to a wasp nest?
If I use an extended duster (about 11 inches away) and apply the dust at night (as instructed), will the dust kill the wasps instantly? If it does not, will they try and sting me, or does the dust not agitate them enough? In other words, is it safe to apply Tempo spray directly to the nest, or do I need to apply some sort of instant-kill spray first?
    A

Tempo 1% Dust will not kill instantly and can take a few hours to days to kill contacted insects.  You should apply at night when they are less active and less likely to sting and should apply directly to the nest if exposed.  It will not agitate them since it is not an instant kill but it would be advisable to  wear long sleeves/pants as a precaution.

    Q
Is Tempo 1% Dust effective against black carpet beetles?
    A

Tempo 1% Dust is labeled for carpet beetles. Per the product label:  "Apply under edges of floor coverings, baseboard cracks, under rugs and furniture, and in cracks and crevices in closets."

Another great option for long term control would be NyGuard Plus, which has an IGR in it to help stop the reproductive cycle of the beetles.  Keep in mind that a carpet beetle problem will typically continue until the source has been found and eliminated.

    Q
What is the best way to get rid of brown recluse?
I am scared to death of these. We just figured out that was the type of sipder we had been killing. It has got to the point I won't sleep there anymore. I am scared if I don't get them out and go back home they will take over the house. I have been going home and get rid of any extra junk and things laying around. I have a two year and so worried he will get bitten. We have found baby spiders so I think some just hatched. I have been reading and from reading reviews I thought that maybe this dust in the trim and the Demon envelopes you drop in water I think it said. Please let me know I will be waiting on your reply. Thank you so much.
    A

Our Spider Control Kit is the best solution for any spiders, including brown recluse spiders.  The insecticide in the kit is great for treating indoors as well as outdoors to keep spiders and other insects out.  The produce in the kit, Temprid FX  is one of our best general use products and will take care of any pest issue that you have.  It is also safe to apply around children.  Just make sure they are out of the area while you are treating and they can re-enter once the product is dry which usually takes about 45 minutes.  The kit also comes with glueboards for monitoring indoor activity.
