    Can Tempo SC Ultra be used in a thermal fogger?
    A

    Tempo SC Ultra should only be applied using a hand pump sprayer, backpack sprayer or hose end applicator. We do carry fogging solutions that can be dispersed using that type of fogger here:  Thermal Fogging Solutions.

    If stored away from extreme temperatures, Tempo SC Ultra  will have a 3 year shelf life from the date of purchase.

    Will Tempo SC Ultra kill yellow jackets around my barn?
    A

    Tempo SC Ultra could be used in areas like barns as long as it does not contaminate the hay or other food or animal feed and the hay does not contact the areas treated with Tempo (has a residual for 30 days outdoors).

    Will Tempo SC Ultra be harmful to my cats if they come in contact with the dry residue?

    Tempo SC Ultra is pet safe once it is completely dry.  It will not be harmful for pets to come in contact with the dried product.

    How oftern should I treat for bed bugs? I am using Tempo SC Ultra and Cimexa dust.
    Should I spray monthly? Should I was the floors in between applications?

    Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to kill bed bugs. Our bedbug kits come with all top of the line products that are available on the market today, along with instructions to follow.     Can Tempo SC Ultra be used in a container connected to a water hose? If so, what ratio to mix?
    A

    Yes, you can apply in a hose end applicator. Tempo SC Ultra is mixed at the rate of 0.27 to 0.54 oz. per gallon of water, depending on your target pest.  Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

    How do I get rid of the burning sensation on my forehead, caused by Tempo SC Ultra?
    I must have got tempo on my hands and rubbed my forehead to get rid of sweat. Forehead is burning..What do I use to get rid of the burning sensation?

    Per the instructions on the product label, if Tempo SC Ultra  gets on your skin, you should remove any contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and contact a physician or poison control.

    Is Tempo SC a contact kill for bed bugs or is there residual that will continue protection?

    Tempo SC Ultra is not a contact kill insecticide.  It is a residual product that will continue to remain on the surfaces its been applied to for 2-3 months.  If you are looking for a contact kill insecticde for bed bugs, you can use Sterifab. Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to kill bed bugs.     Yes, Tempo SC Ultra will kill any wasp/yellow jacket that lands on the treated surface for a significant enough period of time to receive a lethal dose.

    Does Tempo SC Ultra kill house flies?
    A

    Yes, Tempo SC Ultra will kill flies. Please make sure to pay close attention to entry points and areas that contain moisture (undersides of leaves, bathroom, laundry room). Also, spray outdoors around the perimeter of your home 2-3 feet up and out.  It is a residual product that can take a few day to start killing insects.  If the infestation of flies is extensive then you may treat again after 7-14 days.  For more information on fly control, please read our article on How to Get Rid of Flies

    Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for ticks, but it CANNOT be applied to humans or animals. We do offer flea/tick control products for dogs.

    Does Tempo SC Ultra have a fast knock down time for hornets?
    A

    Tempo SC Ultra will kill hornets that come into contact with a treated surface, but it will not provide an immediate knockdown.  Wasp Freeze can be used if a fast  knockdown is necessary.

    Will Tempo SC Ultra kill clover mites?
    I have a well fertilized lawn and it has drawn clover mites . I have clover mites all over my sodding and they have found a way into the house. Will this stuff kill them?

    Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for clover mites.It is mixed at a rate of of 8 – 16mL of Tempo SC Ultra into 1 gallon of water.

    Is Tempo SC Ultra water or oil based? Can it be applied/misted onto brick, wood and slate without staining?
    I have successfully used Bifen IT on the aforementioned surfaces in past, however, Tempo SC is more targeted for the pest I am trying to eliminate.

    Tempo SC Ultra is a water based insecticide and will not stain surfaces such as brick, wood or slate.

    Can you spray Tempo on animals?
    I have heard of Tempo being sprayed on backs of large livestock for ticks/lice/fleas but what about small animals? Goats, sheep, dogs?

    No, Tempo SC Ultra cannot be used on animals at all.

    We would recommend using something like Permethrin SFR for use on listed animals (do not use on cats). Be sure to check the label with regards to mixing ratios and how often the product can be used. Please refer to our new Animal Care Products section for more options.

    How long after spraying fruit trees would it be safe to eat the fruit after inadvertently spray with Tempo SC?
    We didn't realize this product wasn't for fruit trees when we sprayed them. It's been 3 - 4 weeks.

    Tempo SC Ultra has not been tested on fruit trees. Any fruit that has come from the sprayed tree should be discarded.

    I have heard of neighbors using Tempo SC Ultra on their cattle to control flies. Will this hurt the cattle?
    A

    Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled for use on cattle so could harm them if used off label, it is only used in and around animal housing. Animals other than cattle or horses need to be out of the area during treatment until dry.  For fly control on cattle themselves we have many other options here.  Permethrin based products being the most popular.
