    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill fleas in carpet?
    A
While Tempo SC ultra is labeled for the control of fleas and would kill a flea that came into contact with a treated surface, it is only labeled to be used in cracks an crevices indoors. It cannot and should not be sprayed across carpets as a broadcast for flea control inside. You can use it as a broadcast for fleas outdoors and mix it at the rate of 8ml to a gallon of water. For treating the inside of the home for fleas, we would recommend our Indoor Flea Kit, which comes with a dust to use to get the fleas deep in the base of your carpets and crevices, as well as a broadcast spray that will not only kill, but stop the reproductive cycle of the fleas. You can review our guide on How to Get Rid of Fleas here. This includes step by step instructions, product recommendations, and How To videos for treating the inside of your home as well as your pet and outdoors.

    Q
Difference between SC Ultra and SC Ultra Premise & Application
What is the difference between Tempo SC Ultra and Tempo SC Ultra "Premise"? Do you need to reapply it after it rains or just on a 10 day rotating schedule? I have a campground and thinking of using it for guests.
    A
Tempo SC Ultra and Premise 2 Termiticide are two different products. They have two different active ingredients. We would recommend using the product when rain is not in the forecast or at least 24 hours. The reapplication time for Tempo SC Ultra is 30 days outdoors. The reapplication time for Premise 2 Termiticide is six months topically. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Asked by Christina from Perry,ok
    07/02/2015
    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra hurt hummingbirds, chimney swifts, other wild birds, tree frogs, toads and other wildlife?
We are going to spray indoors and outdoors for roaches and spiders. We have chimney swifts that nest in our non functional chimney. I also feed about 20 hummingbirds. Birds eat alot of insects and I don't want to poison any of them but want to get rid of our roaches and spiders.
    A
Tempo SC Ultra should not harm birds, wildlife or beneficial creatures when used as directed on the product label.  It is best to apply when they are not in the area and hope they do not return until dry.  Once the product has dried, it only has a toxicity level of that to kill something as small as an insect.

After applying Tempo and it has dried and after it has rained, are the standing water on our deck safe for puppies to be in. Tempo was sprayed several weeks prior to having puppies on deck
    A
Tempo SC Ultra is pet safe when used as directed on the product label.  Pets should be out of the area until dry, typically a few hours.  After that rain should not move the product or contaminate any puddles that can build on the surface of the treated area.

  • Asked by James from Bowie, Tx 76230

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra work towards killing fleas?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is labeled to kill fleas using a rate of 8mL per 1000 sq ft or 12 fl oz per acre. Apply where pests have been seen or found, or can find shelter. Permitted areas include but are not limited to: home lawns, business complexes, apartment buildings, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, recreational fields, institutional grounds, athletic fields, and other landscape turf grass. In the outdoor flea treatment process it is recommended that you use two products together to get the expected results, a liquid insecticide such as Tempo SC Ultra to kill exposed fleas and an insect growth regulator (IGR) such as Archer or Nyguard that will stop immature fleas from reaching sexual maturity.

Whenever you have a moment I suggest taking a look at our guide on Flea Control, which explains how to successfully treat for fleas and the products recommended such as our Flea Kits for indoor and outdoor.

  • Asked by Alexa from Madison, Wi
    07/21/2015
    Q
Can Tempo SC Ultra be used in my car?
I've been having an issue with spiders getting into my car and really want to get rid of them. Would this work well in this situation?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not really specifically labeled for treatment in cars.  You cannot apply the product to any seats or anywhere that you come into contact with.  You could only apply it to cracks and crevices and under seats.  We feel that an aerosol can would be easier to apply to a car and just as effective.  We would recommend D-Force HPX Aerosol and apply it to the same areas. You can also view our Spider Pest Guide for more information about treating for spiders.
