Tempo SC Ultra is usually best mixed with 1 gallon of water since it has such low dilution rates. You would use 8-16 ml or 0.27 to .054 fl oz per gallon of water, so for a quart sprayer (be sure it is not a trigger sprayer; it must be a pump sprayer) you would just divide that by 4 (since there are 4 quarts in a gallon), which would equal 2-4 ml or 0.07 to 0.14 fl oz. Please refer to the product label for the rate based on your target pest.
Tempo SC Ultra will work for stinkbugs. Stinkbugs are not listed on the product label of most insecticides yet because they have only started becoming a problem for homeowners and property owners in recent years. Be sure to spray eaves, soffits, window frames, door frames, areas where cables, pipes or wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can harbor. We also recommend starting applications in early August to prevent having the stink bugs move in with you and sealing up as many cracks, crevices and gaps as possible.
If stored away from extreme temperatures, Tempo SC Ultra will have a 3 year shelf life from the date of purchase.
Tempo SC Ultra should not pose any staining to the vinyl siding. If mixed and applied correctly there should not be an issue using it for stinkbug control. We recommend testing a small, inconspicuous area first to be sure.
Tempo SC Ultra or Suspend SC will last the same length of time and both are labeled to treat midges. They both offer a 90 day residual indoors and 30 day residual outdoors. Please refer to the product labels for mixing and application instructions.
Tempo SC Ultra is labeled to treat fungus gnats on indoor plants. Please refer to product label for specific instructions. Fungus gnats are present due to overwatering of the plants, so if the soil is allowed to dry completely, then the fungus gnats will die out.
How long it takes the ticks to die after they come into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors. It will depend on the maturity of the tick as well as how long they stayed on the treated area, how long it has been since the area was treated and the concentration that was used to treat the area. Typically it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day or so for them to die. It can take several weeks for you to stop seeing ticks indoors because the ticks like to stay hidden which also means they could be staying out of treated areas and eggs may hatch out prolonging the infestation. We recommend doing follow up treatments every two weeks at the highest usage rate of 16 ml of Tempo SC Ultra per gallon of water
Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for mosquitoes. You will mix 8-16 ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft monthly. For more information on treating mosquitoes, please check out our article on How to Get Rid of Mosquitoes.
While Tempo SC will certainly kill potato bugs it cannot be used on edible vegetation. Instead we recommend using Bayer Advanced Vegetable and Garden Spray which contains the same active ingredient as Tempo but a different formulation which allows you to use it on edible vegetation.
Tempo SC Ultra is safe if used as directed on the product label. Everyone other than the person applying the product should remain out of the area during application and until everything is fully dry. Once dry, it is safe for everyone to return.
Tempo SC Ultra is only labeled to eradicate adult roaches. Please take a few moments to review our Roach Control Article for tips on treating roaches as well as our Roach Control Kits that offer the products needed for eradication. Please let us know if you need anything else.
Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for use on landscaping ornamental plants and is known to be very gentle when used as directed on the product label. That being said we always recommend that you test a new product on one or two plants before you spray them all just to be safe.
