    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill earwigs, and will it hurt plants?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is quite gentle on plants but we always recommend that you test the product on just one plant before you spray them all if you are concerned about sensitivity. Tempo SC Ultra is labeled to kill earwigs and it can be applied to outdoor ornamental plants but nothing edible.

    Q
Can I use Tempo SC Ultra around the trunk of a maple tree to kill yellow jackets?
Nest underground around trunk of maple tree that is about 6-8
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is labeled to target yellow jackets, and for use on ornamentals and trees.  We advise treating the area in the evenings when they are less active.  This application will not instantly kill the yellow jackets, but will instead provide a residual that will eventually control the population as they come into contact with the treated areas.

Will Tempo SC Ultra eliminate or prevent bag worms on blue spruce trees?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for bagworms and will be effective on them up until they form the bag.  Once the bags have formed, there is little you can do for control other than to physically remove them. For additional information, here is an article on bagworms.

  • Asked by Teresa from Kansas
    12/16/2016
    Q
Why does Tempo SC Ultra kill fleas outdoors but not indoors?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled for indoor flea treatments because it cannot to be used as an broadcast application indoors. Indoor flea treatments normally require a product that can be broadcast because carpets, area rugs and pet resting areas are the main areas that need to be treated. For more information and tips read over our How to Get Rid of Fleas treatment guide.

    Q
Is Tempo SC Ultra equally/more/less effective than Temprid SC against a bed bug infestation?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to kill bed bugs. Our bedbug kits come with all top of the line products that are available on the market today, along with instructions to follow. When applied properly, our kits have a very high success rate. We recommend reading our article on How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs for more information on a treatment program using the products and non-chemical efforts.

    Q
I still have carpenter ants inside the house even, after 2 treatments with Tempo SC Ultra. What should I do?
    A

While Tempo SC Ultra will kill any carpenter ants that come into contact with a treated area, it will not eradicate an ant colony.  We would recommend our Indoor Carpenter Ant Kit.  The kit contains professional pest control products to control carpenter ants found inside structures, including Maxforce Carpenter Ant Bait Gel and Maxforce Complete Granular Bait, along with bait plate stations that allow you to apply and monitor both baits simultaneously. You will also get Temprid Ready Spray, a ready-to-use version of the popular Temprid SC that contains two active ingredients for both initial knockdown and residual non-repellent activity.

  • Asked by Martin from Alma, Ar

    Q
Should I use a foam residual spray for wasps around my picnic table?
I have a cedar picnic table that the wasps seem to like to collect in the nooks and crannies and stay hidden until one sits down and out they come. Have done this for several years now. I am thinking about some sort of foam insecticidal spray with residual activity and adherence where sprayed, something like an expanding foam. Is there such a product and do you have any?
    A

It sounds like the wasps may be in the ground under the table rather than on the table itself, unless you can see a specific place where there is a small nest on or under the table. We would not recommend using any insecticide where you sit or eat on a picnic table. Tempo SC Ultra would be a great choice for the ground around the table. You can also use a knockdown spray such as Wasp Freeze to spray flying, stinging insects in the immediate area as you see them.

    Q
Is Tempo SC Ultra a more effective all-purpose insecticide?
I seek an all purpose good for residential and rental units.
    A

Tempo SC Ultra would be a general pest control product to apply to interior cracks and crevices quarterly and monthly on the exterior in commercial and residential areas. You will mix 8-16 ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft.

  • Asked by Faron from Iowa
    05/22/2017
    Q
What is best for killing stable flies on the outside walls of our house?
What do you recommend for stable flies? We rent a farmhouse and there are 60 cattle about 100 yards from the house. The farmer uses fly predators but does not do a good job of scooping the manure enough. The flies are all over the side of the house and also under the roofs on our front and back porch. The splatter red goop when you swat them. We have sprayed the outside walls of the house with Tempo Sc ultra and that little affect on them.
    A

While Tempo SC can provide some relief of those flies that land on a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose, it is just not a fast kill.   Apply it once a month for best results. The best recommendation for flies outside is using traps to draw them away from an area you want to protect.  The Flies Be Gone Fly Trap would be good to use.  Another option is using baits like QuickStrike.
