    Q
Does Tempo SC Ultra kill roaches on contact? If not, how long before coming into contact with the treated area will roaches begin to die?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not a contact kill but it does have a residual of up to 4 weeks. The time it takes for roaches to die after they come into contact with dried deposits of Tempo SC will depend on the life stage of the roach, how long they stay on the treated surface, and how long the dried deposit of Tempo SC has been in place. You can expect the roaches to die anywhere from 1 hour - 24 hours after they come into contact with treated areas. If you are having a heavy roach infestation, look over our article How To Get Rid of Roaches for helpful details, hints and product recommendation for controlling the colony the fastest way to eliminate them for good at the source.

    Q
I sprayed for flies but didn't kill like it used to. It's not killing mosquitoes anymore. What's going on??
    A

We are more than happy to troubleshoot the Tempo SC Ultra with you, but we will need some more information.

    1. What mix rate did you use?
    2. When was your first application for this issue?
    3. How long did you wait in between applications, and how many applications have you made?
    4. Are you also using and IGR?

If you have been using the same product repeatedly, it would not be a bad idea to rotate to another product with a different active ingredient. It is highly recommended to rotate the products you use to be sure that you are preventing any possible resistance issues to the active ingredient being used. Switching up the mode of action will help to make your applications as effective as possible. Pests can get used to the product if you are using the same one over and over again for long periods of time making the product less effective on the pests in that area. Over or under applying a product can also cause the application to not work properly. Please be sure that you are following all of the instructions on the product label. We also have very informative guides on How to Get Rid of Mosquitoes as well as Fly Control.
