    Q
Should I use a respirator when spraying under my house? If so, what number filter should be used?
    A

Per the Tempo SC Ultra label you are to wear safety glasses, goggles, or face shield and a dust/mist respirator when treating overhead areas.  If you are treating in confined, unventilated areas a respirator would be needed. We sell the Comfo Classic Respirator on our website if you need to purchase one.

    Q
What is the difference between the Tempo SC Ultra and Tempo Ultra WP?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is a  concentrated water based liquid insecticide that will need to be mixed with water. Tempo Ultra WP is a wettable powder that is also mixed with water. Both products contain the same active ingredient and will provide similar results. Tempo Ultra WP will do a better job on porous surfaces as it will stay on the surface and be more available to insects. Tempo SC Ultra, on the other hand, will dry clear and will not leave behind the powdery residue that Tempo Ultra WP can.

    Q
Springtails control - which product is better at control/eliminating them - Tempo SC or Mavrik?
Seem to have springtails around windows, bathrooms, and kitchen sink. I have been trying to ensure that outside is staying dry and clear - but continue to see inside
    A
Tempo SC Ultra is definitely more popular when it comes to springtail control.  You can apply Tempo SC Ultra inside the house and outside the house, and in any area where you have high moisture content which is where springtails breed.  However, to completely get rid of springtails you have to eliminate the moisture issue.

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill millipedes? I have them by the thousands.
Can you tell me what product would work the best (and cost efficient) to kill thousands of Millipedes. The Millipedes are outside on my concrete patio and on the concrete retaining walls. I have been looking on your website and thought maybe Tempo SC would work or do you suggest something else? Maybe I should use 2 different products? One to spray on the Millipedes that are present and one to spray the lawn area around the patio?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for millipedes. We would recommend doing a perimeter treatment around your home to prevent them from entering the structure. We would also recommend reducing the moisture around the structure to reduce the population. You will mix 8 mL per gallon of water. See our Millipedes treatment page for more details on treating this pest.

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra kill termites?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra will eradicate those above ground termites but will not replace a soil applicaiton or wood treatment. If you are treating for termites we recommend a soil treatment for subterranean termites with a non-repellent termiticide such as Termidor SC. Bora-Care can be applied to raw wood for treating drywood termites. Please read our Termite Treatment Article for more information.

  • Asked by Gladys from Lexington, Va
    09/18/2016
    Q
How do I mix Tempo SC Ultra? Why does it have two caps on the bottle?
I have a 2 gal. size lawn sprayer. I just don't get the gist of the small bottle attached to the larger bottle of Tempo.
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is mixed at 8-16 ml per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft so you will need 16-32 ml for your 2 gallon sprayer. The one cap is for the full contents of the bottle and the second cap on the bottle is a measuring device so that you do not require mixing spoons or cups to measure the product. You simply squeeze the bottle and the product travels up the straw on the side of the bottle. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

  • Asked by Dave from Fargo, Nd
    12/06/2016
    Q
Can you spray Tempo SC Ultra on house plants for gnats?
    A

You could potentially treat houseplants or other interior ornamental plants with Tempo SC Ultra as a foliar spray to help kill adult insects. If you have fungus gnats, they are usually caused by overwatering plants. Be sure to let the soil of your plants dry out to eliminate the harborage areas for these plants. If soil is compacted and very dense, consider repotting plants with severe infestations.
