    Q
I bought tempo sc ultra, is it supposed to kill roaches on contact?
If it doesn't kill on contact do I need to try a different product?
    A
The Tempo SC Ultra is not a contact kill and normally if you are having a roach problem you do not want a contact kill. Contact kill products only kill the roaches that you hit directly with the product when its wet, and after the product has dried it wont have any affect on other pests. The Tempo will affect any roach that comes into contact with a treated surface, even after the product is dry. You should only spray it once every 30 days for control. If you are having a heavy roach infestation, look over our article How To Get Rid of Roaches for helpful details, hints and product recommendation for controlling the colony the fastest way to eliminate them for good at the source. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

We are unsure the questions you are asking. If you are referring to if Tempo is hazardous. it is not. People and pets are safe to come around the treated area after the treated area has dried.

  • Asked by Toni from Marion
    07/27/2013
    Q
When do I vacuum if I am spraying Tempo SC on concrete floors where pet was kept?
I was told that vacuuming the floor over and over will get rid of the fleas. Persistence is key, but will vacuuming keep the spray from working if I vacuum the floor when it dries?
    A
Tempo SC is not labeled to be applied as a broadcast spray and when dealing with fleas on concrete floors you do not need to treat the entire floor.  Tempo SC is more of a crack and crevice treatment. You should use Tempo SC along baseboards and cracks and crevices, and those are the areas that you would also need to concentrate on vacuuming as well.  You would vacuum before the application and then every day or every other day after application.  Once the product dries it will adhere to the surfaces and vacuuming will not remove it.

  • Asked by Sara from Hays, Ab

    Q
Is there any harmful risk to my baby crawling on grass after spraying with Tempo SC Ultra?
I understand that you wait 4 hrs till its completely dry to be in contact, however I worry about my baby crawling on the grass after I've sprayed it. If you don't recommend using it on furniture or anything with prolonged skin contact, how can the grass be safe for my baby?
    A
The Tempo is not Labeled for use on furniture and skin contact surfaces as this is not a tested area. It takes manufacturers millions of dollars to go through the testing and research to be approved to have "skin surface areas" on the label so most dont do it. Plus, you normally come into contact with bare skin on furniture in your home more than any other part so it lessens any adverse reaction since every persons body is different. Once the product has thoroughly dried on the grass, the solution at that point after being diluted and spread across the yard is only toxic enough to kill something the size of an insect. As long as you give the adequate wait time, your baby should be fine. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Asked by Jessica from Cave In Rock Il
    08/08/2013
    Q
Will Tempo harm fowl such as chickens or quineas if they are on the treated area after the spray has dried?
I know that fowl peck the ground and eat bugs however I have a serious flea problem and my guineas are not yet old enough to be turned out. I want to spray my yard and barn
    A
Unless the chickens are consuming the Tempo SC directly there should be no effect on the bird or their eggs. Once the product has dried, it only has a toxicity level of that to kill something as small as an insect. The insect walks across it, picks up a little bit on their feet/bodies and ingests it as they groom themselves. For there to be even a chance of your chicken having any effect from the Tempo on the bugs, they would have to eat at least their weight worth in grasshoppers that have died from it.  All animals need to removed from the treatment area while applying until the application dries.

    Q
How to treat for fleas in my garage and indoors, I already have Tempo SC Ultra?
I'm a firm believer in tempo SC... what would like advice on how to get rid of fleas in my garage... also the best way to spray inside my house for any fleas getting there
    A
Yes, Tempo SC Ultra will treat Fleas. We also recommend mixing in an IGR that will help break down the reproductive cycle. You can use something like Precor IGR. You can use this mixture both indoors and out in the garage. You want to make sure to retreat two weeks after your initial application as the life cycle of a flea is two weeks. We also recommend applying a product like Alpine Flea Insecticide that can safely be applied to carpets and upholstered furniture. It is easily applied with a sweeping motion. PLease find out video on Indoor flea treatment.

    Q
Why do I have to throw my food away after spraying it with Tempo SC bug spray?
    A
Tempo is not labeled to be sprayed on any type of edible vegetation. Consuming foods sprayed with the product could cause serious harm to you and others that eat it. You always want to follow the labels strictly for the safety of you and others, and only use  approved products for edible vegetation to avoid any health dangers. Anything edible sprayed accidentally or purposefully with the Tempo SC Ultra or other similarly labled product should be disposed of promptly.

  • Asked by Pat from Siren, Wisconsin

    Q
Is Tempo SC the right product for treatment of spider webs on our cabin?
We have a lake home with rough sawn cedar and the exterior is full of white (stringy, sticky) cob webs. I'd like to spray (power wash) the siding. I want the cob webs to fall off and not return.
    A
You could power wash the siding of your home first and when dry, you could apply Tempo SC Ultra 3ft up the siding. Tempo SC Ultra will provide control of spiders and their food source monthly on the exterior of the home and lawn. You could also apply the product around cracks and crevices, window frames and door frames. We also carry a product called Web Out Cobweb Eliminator that prevents the support of the spider webs and can be applied to indoor and outdoor surfaces. Please click on the following link for additional information on the product. Web Out Cobweb Eliminator

  • Asked by Cathy from Clyde, Ohio

    Q
Will Tempo SC Ultra treat yellow jackets in a wall?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra can be applied in a wall void, but dust products are much better suited for flying insects. Our most popular dust  for bees/wasp is Tempo Dust.  You will need a hand duster to apply it with.  It usually works within 24 to 48 hours. You want to go up to the opening where they are flying in and out of at dusk or at night when they are not active and puff twice directly into the hole.  Then pull the duster out and puff directly at the hole to cover the opening from about 5 inches away.  This is the most efficient and fastest way to eliminate a bee/yellow jacket/wasp nest.

    Q
Termidor SC was applied around my house 6 months ago. How long before I can eat vegetables grown in that soil?
I transplanted some chard into a planting bed next to the house 2 weeks ago. The plants look great, but will they poison us?
    A
If you planted edible plants in any soil treated with Termidor you would not be able to eat anything from those plants.   Termidor should not under any circumstances be applied near or on anything edible and you should also not plant anything edible in soil that is treated with Termidor.  You should keep Termidor treatments at least 10 feet away from any garden.
