    Q
Will Temprid FX Insecticide keep killing bedbugs after it dries?
    A

Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide is a residual product. You will want to treat every 7-10 days until there is no activity of bed bugs for 30 days straight. Please look over the product label before making your application. Also, we would recommend incorporating a product like CimeXa into your treatment plan for hard to reach areas where you cannot spray a liquid insectide, like behind the face plates of electrical outlets for example. Please take a moment to review our How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs Guide for more information on implementing a successful treatment plan.

    Q
So why can only use 8mil and not 16mil for bedbugs? Isn't 16mil stronger?
What if I'm treating the outside of my house and the inside? isn't 16mil per gallon of water stronger?
    A

If treating for bedbugs, you will apply 8 ml of Temprid FX Insecticide? per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. It can be applied in 7-10 days.  You would use the higher rate of 16 milliliters (0.54 fluid ounces) per 1 gallon of water for faster knockdown of flying insects, like hornets, wasps, and yellow jackets.  Please follow the label instructions.

    Q
Is either Temprid FX or Termidor SC a polymer type insecticide?
    A

Neither Temprid FX nor Termidor SC contain a polymer.  They are both suspend concentrates.  Suspend Polyzone would be an insecticide that contains a special polymer to help it last longer on outside surfaces.

  • Asked by David from Tulsa, Ok
    11/29/2018
    Q
Does Temprid FX Insecticide need to be rotated with another product to prevent a resistance building amongst pests?
    A

Since Temprid FX Insecticide is a dual mode of action insecticide, it is less likely to develop a resistance than other insecticides. Depending on the target pests you are treating, we would suggest rotating every 12 months or when a decrease in effectiveness occurs. For general purpose applications, Temprid FX Insecticide should be applied every 90 days indoors and every 30 days outdoors.

  • Asked by Agnes from Missouri City Tx
    06/14/2019
    Q
Will Temprid FX Insecticide kill roaches and bed bugs?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide will kill adult listed insects including roaches and bedbugs. It should not be the sole product for roach control or bedbug treatment applications. We do offer Bedbug Kits (some contain Temprid FX) and you could use Gentrol IGR/Gentrol Point Source Stations and roach bait gel if treating both pests along with non-chemical efforts for both. Please take a few moments to review our treatment articles/videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches and How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a successful program.

    Q
Can Temprid FX be used at the same time with Alpine Roach Bait Gel?
Indoors, can I use Temprid FX and Alpine Roach Bait Gel at the same time? I need to treat a large space.
    A

You may spray Temprid FX Insecticide and use an Alpine Roach Bait Gel in a different area. You do not want to apply the bait to the same areas where you have treated with Temprid FX Insecticide. You may want to look over our articles on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more information.

    Q
Can Temprid FX be stored in a garage where the temperatures reach below freezing?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide should be stored in cool, dry place away from extreme hot or cold temperatures. • Asked by M from Redmond, Wa
    12/05/2020
    Q
Is Temprid FX Insecticide safe on bushes, trees, and other landscape plants?
The label mentions some of this for specific things (like spraying trees for mosquitoes) but I wanted to confirm this is safe to spray on various types of bushes and other ornamental plants.
    A

Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide can be applied to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or where you are trying to provide relief.  It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where the mosquitoes hang out during the heat of the day.

  • Asked by Sherri from Chicago

    Q
Spraying around windows and screens from the inside
I live in a high-rise and have a problem with spiders around my windows on the outside, and the little ones come through crevices. I plan to spray around the parameters and the screens (the webs are all across the outside of them) then close the windows. How long do I need to wait until I can open them again? I always have a good breeze coming in. I'm sure some of the spray will come in while spraying, as well.
    A
We would recommend keep the windows closed just until your application of Temprid FX Insecticide has had time to completely dry. This usually is within the hour. There should be very little odor after the application if any.

  • Asked by Robert from Fayetteville
    10/06/2022
    Q
Is there a more cost effective solution for roaches?
Temprid FX is over 4 times more expensive per fl oz than Bifen IT. I get that the residual effects of Bifen IT last about half that of Temprid FX. If they work about the same overall, wouldn't it make sense to just use Bifen IT? What are your thoughts on this?
    A

Temprid FX would be the best insecticide to use for active roach infestations due to the 2 active ingredients and dual modes of action it uses. Bifen IT would be suggested for general maintenance or preventative applications but not the recommended product if you have active roaches.

Active roach infestations require a combination of products and repeat treatments every 7-14 days to eradicate. Using a residual spray alone will not fully eradicate a roach colony. We recommend one of our Roach Control Kits to provide you with a residual insecticide, roach bait and insect growth regulator to help stop the reproduction. These kits provide enough products for the initial treatment as well as 2-3 follow up treatments.

  • Asked by Brenda from Stuart, Fl
    06/23/2018
    Q
How can I get rid of roaches and rats?
I have roaches in my house, mainly in my kitchen, I have tried store bought stuff but it doesn't work. I know I have critters in my attic as well as my yard as well. I'm looking for the best products to get rid of them, the house probably should be tented, but I don't have that in my budget...I also need something safe..I have three dogs.
    A

Temprid FX is a good all-around product that can be used for roach control and a wide variety of insects. Temprid FX needs to be applied on baseboards, cracks and crevices, it can also be used safely in the attic. You will need to keep pets out of the area being treated until it's all completely dry. For a thorough roach control, we recommend using our Roach Control Kit A, not only will you have an insecticide but a bait gel and an insect growth regulator to interrupt their reproductive cycle, it also includes insect glue boards to monitor your treatment. We recommend reading over our Roach Control Treatment Guide for further tips and information.

For rat control, we would recommend using the Protecta Rat Bait Station and Fastrac Blox kit. You'll need to wear gloves when handling the stations as well as the bait. Fill the stations and place at least one on each side of the home, you will need to use either stakes or a concrete block to secure the stations. We recommend reading over our Rat Control Treatment Guide for further tips and information.

    Q
Will Temprid FX Insecticide work for a severe cockroach infestation?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide is a great product for roaches and should do a good job towards helping you eliminate the infestation.  However, if the infestation is severe, it should not be the sole product used.  We would recommend using one of our Roach Control Kits for best results.   You may want to look over our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
