The 900 ml bottle of Temprid FX Insecticide will make 56 – 112 gallons of finished solution. It should be mixed at a rate of 8-16 ml per gallon of water.
Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide is labeled to kill and will do a great job controlling bedbugs. Please see our Bed Bug Treatment article for more information on treating this pest.
Temprid FX Insecticide is not specifically labeled for chiggers. Onslaught is a great product for chigger control. Treatments for chiggers should begin in April/May and could/need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors.
Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide is labeled for moths. Use 8 mL per gallon of water. Please see theproduct label for complete application instructions.
We are not familiar with the product you are referring to that you have already used. Depending on what pest you are treating for would determine the proper application interval between when you last used your Permethrin spray product, and when you can use the Temprid FX or any other residual insecticide. Temprid can be used every 7-14 days for bedbugs, and every 30 days for roaches and other pests. Rotating the insecticides you treat with every 30 days is fine to do as long as you are following label instructions for where and how to use the insecticides, and mixing them according to the label.
Temprid FX is labeled to be applied only to the tufts and folds of the mattress. If you are looking for a product that can be applied directly to the mattress, you can purchase Steri-Fab.
There are not any specific temperature restrictions on when Temprid FX Insecticide can be applied. You should not use insecticides when temperatures are near, at, or below freezing. Insects are most active when air temperatures are around 60-85 degrees F. The best time of day to apply is early in the day or in the late evening. Applications also need to be done when there isn't any rain expected for 24 hrs and the winds are calm to ensure the product has had time to dry. Please follow the label instructions for details on your treatment.
Per a technical specialist at Bayer regarding the efficacy of the Temprid FX: It is not a question of efficacy of the active ingredients changing on different surfaces (as long as all are chemically neutral), but the amount of exposure to residues based on interference by the physical properties of the surface. Temprid (or any other residual insecticide) would generally be more efficacious (with all other factors like UV exposure, relative humidity, temperature exposures, surface pH being equal) against bed bugs on a hard, non-porous surface because if applied at the same amount, you would expect more of the deposit on the non-porous surface to be available for exposure to the target pest than on a porous surface.
When using Temprid FX Insecticide for bed bugs you are only applying to cracks and crevices and along baseboards in rooms, not across entire surfaces. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
Temprid FX should only be diluted with water as directed on the label.
If surfaces are too dust covered or dirty it would be recommended to clean the area before applying Temprid FX
Temprid FX Insecticide should not be applied during rain. It could be washed away before having time to dry. It is recommended to treat when you are not expecting rainfall within 24 hrs. It will offer a 30 day outdoor residual.

Apply Temprid FX Insecticide at a rate of 8 mL to 1 gallon of water and apply to tufts, seams, folds, and edges of furniture, mattresses, couches, and chairs until moist. Allow to dry before remaking bed or allowing anyone to sit on the furniture. Apply to bedsprings, box springs, and the interior of bed frames or headboards, including all cracks and joints. If treating for bed bugs in upholstered furniture, apply only to the infested tufts, seams, folds, and edges, but do not apply to flat surfaces where prolonged human contact will occur.
Please view the product label for more information and save for reference if needed.
Temprid FX Insecticide can be used in hand pump and backpack sprayers as well as mist blowers, but is not labeled for applications with any type of ULV or Thermal Fogging equipment.
One gallon of prepared Temprid FX Insecticide solution treats roughly 1,000 sq ft mixed at 8ml to 16ml per gallon of water.
Typically you would not apply another insecticide such as Temprid FX Insecticide over an area already treated with another insecticide for at least 30 days.
We would recommend waiting 30 days to treat with Temprid FX in the same areas where the other product was applied.
For more information, please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide and Bed Bugs Kits for a complete treatment program.
Temprid FX Insecticide would not be applied inside cabinets. Per the product label to treat for listed indoor pests: treat entry points, such as around water pipes, doors, windows, and eaves. Treat areas where pests normally feed or hide, such as baseboards, corners, around water pipes, behind or under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, and stoves.
Temprid FX Insecticide is a great product for all roaches including the American Roach (water bugs) and should do a good job towards helping you eliminate the infestation. However, if the infestation is severe, it should not be the sole product used. We would recommend using one of our Roach Control Kits for best results. You may want to look over our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
Temprid FX Insecticide could kill those adult drain flies that contact a treated area long enough to receive a lethal dose. Please refer to our How to get rid of Drain Flies guide for fthe most effective treatment.
