Temprid SC can be sprayed around livestock housing but we would recommend to avoid any water source as well as food source. We would also recommend using something like Revenge The Huge Reel Fly Tape, Flies Be gone Flly Traps, and Maxforce Granular Fly Bait along with FBS-1 Fly Bait Stations. Please check out our How to Get Rid of Flies article for more in depth information.
Temprid SC will last for at least three years when stored in the original container (tightly sealed of course), out of direct sunlight and out of extreme temperatures. Many concentrates contain different active ingredients, some heavier than others so they can separate if left on a shelf for a few months. It is no problem though. Just shake the bottle for about 10 to 15 seconds and the solution will reset and look normal.
The 400 ml bottle of Temprid SC will make 50 gallons of finished solution if mixed at 8 ml per gallon of water. Each gallon will treat about 1,000 sq ft of crack and crevices. We recommend that you make a minimum of one application per week for 6-8 weeks or until there are no longer signs of the insect or bites upon proper inspection. We would advise you to apply the products in our Pyrethroid Resistant Bed Bug Kit. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for more information on a successful eradication program.
If you are using a 1 Liter capacity sprayer, then you would need 2 mL of the Temprid SC Insecticide.
Temprid SC Insecticide can be used on ornamental plants for listed insects. Temprid SC is not safe to use on any edible plants such as vegetables, fruit trees, or herbs.
You can mix Temprid SC Insecticide, Talstar, or any other appropriate insecticide with Gentrol IGR. However, you would not mix Temprid SC and Talstar together; this would be a redundant application of insecticides.
You can use a different insecticide in your existing sprayer as long as it is clean and free from other chemical residues that may interfere with the Temprid SC. You can always use a Sprayer Cleaner to help neutralize and remove any potential residues in your sprayer. Be sure to use up solution as soon as possible, do not store any solution in your sprayer, and triple rinse after each use.
No, Temprid SC is not labeled for use in vegetable gardens.
When using Temprid SC Insecticide to treat for bedbugs it may be used every 7 days for retreatment. We would recommend using the products contained in one of our Bedbug Kits to properly treat for a bed bug infestation. You may also refer to our Bedbug Guide for tips on how to use the products in our kits.
They should not be mixed together. It would be better to apply Temprid SC instead of Demon WP because Temprid SC is labeled for both roaches and bedbugs. Demon WP is only labeled for roaches. We would suggest the components in our Bedbug Kit and Maxforce FC Magnum if treating both insects in the same areas. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs (includes videos also) for a successful bedbug eradication program.
Temprid SC Insecticide is safe when used as directed, but since birds can be very sensitive to chemicals, we would recommend that they be removed from the treatment area for several hours to allow for it to dry and for any lingering odor to dissipate. It should not be used in any areas that they would then make contact with.
When using Temprid SC the temperature of the water is not an issue. Room temperature water normally is fine to use.
When using Temprid SC or any insecticide we recommend using the mixed product within 24 hours. It sounds like you don't need a full gallon of solution based off of your square footage, so we would recommend cutting the dilution in half. You can use half a gallon of water per 8mL of Temprid.
Temprid SC is not labeled to kill bedbug eggs. Most products cannot penetrate the exterior of the egg and are not effective at killing bedbug eggs. We do Bedlam and Sterifab, which are labeled to kill all stages of bedbugs including eggs. You should note that even products that are labeled to kill bedbug eggs are not able to kill 100% of the eggs and you will still be required to do follow up treatments every 7 – 10 days until no further evidence (bites, blood stains, cast skins, fecal deposits) of bedbugs is noticed.
This could possibly still be part of the same infestation since oriental cockroaches a nymphal stages that can last anywhere from 24-130 weeks, but more than likely this is part of new population. We would recommend using Temprid SC Insecticide again like you did last year, and be sure you are especially paying attention to where you have seen the current activity.
We are not able to comment on the services or advice provided by a pest control company; however we can tell you that the manufacturer of Temprid SC recommends that people and pets stay out of the area during application and until the product is dry. The amount of time this takes can vary depending on a number of factors such as the amount of area being treated and how heavily the product is applied, but in most cases this takes an hour or so.
The Temprid SC product label states that it must be mixed and applied using at least a 1-gallon sprayer.
Yes, Temprid SC is labeled for use on mosquitoes, as well as various other insects. Be sure to treat the vegetation where mosquitoes would be. We do also suggest treating any sitting water with Altosid Larvicide. Altosid Pro-G will last up to 30 days.
Temprid SC is labeled to be sprayed around cracks and crevices, so you could potentially spray it in the cracks and crevices of the toy box as long as there are no toys in the box. Just be sure to let it dry completely before adding those back in. However, we would not recommend spraying it directly on the toys themselves. Also be sure that your child is out of the area while you are spraying, and until the product dries completely.
Temprid SC Insecticide is not labeled for lice. Here are the products that we recommend for lice.
