    Q
How long does Tenacity Herbicide remain in soil, and when is it safe to plant vegetables in a previously treated area?
I do not currently have a garden in my yard but would like to start one in the future. In the meantime, I would like to use Tenacity to control several weeds that have invaded my entire lawn. I'm wondering how long I would need to wait after application of Tenacity, both as a pre- and post-emergent, before it is safe to start growing vegetables in an area that has been previously sprayed with Tenacity.
    A

You will need to wait one year after Tenacity is used in a given area before you can plant edible vegetation in that area.

  • Asked by Star from Cary, Nc
    08/27/2019
    Q
Should I apply Tenacity before fall feed or after fall feed to the lawn?
My lawn does not look healthy, so I decided to apply fall feed as it is almost September. It has lot of weeds like crabgrass, clover, etc. So when is the best time to apply Tenacity?
    A

If you are applying Tenacity Herbicide as a post-emergent, then you would apply when the target weeds are actively growing. Keep in mind that Tenacity is most effective in young crabgrass, so it may require more than one application to control mature crabgrass. If applying as a pre-emergent, then you usually apply just before fall overseeding and before soil temperatures drop below 70 degrees.
