    Tenacity is labeled for eradicating nimblewill for a post-emergent control in listed turfgrasses. It will require a few applications for surpression.

    Can I apply "tenacity" and the "non-ionic surfactant" while the morning dew is still on the grass?
    I waited until the morning dew had dried off of my lawn before applying the product "tenacity" and the "non-ionic surfactant"...However, I overlooked a small detail. The temperature had exceeded 80 degrees.....I assume closer to 84 -87 degrees......was my application in vain?

    Morning dew will not lessen the effects of Tenacity. It some circumstances a more moist soil will make for better root uptake. You are safe to make the Tenacity application in the cooler times of the day when temps are below 85 degrees. If temps rise above 85 degrees after the product has dried it should not reduce effectiveness.

    How soon after Tenacity Herbicide treatment can I overseed?
    A

    Tenacity Herbicide can be applied at the same time as seeding (unless grass is more than 20% stand of fine fescue). If application cannot be done within 7 days of seeding you would need to wait a minimum of 30 days, or until the seed has emerged and been mowed at least twice before applying to the lawn.

    When do I apply Tenacity Herbicide for bent grass?
    I have bent grass that is now brown. Is it dormant? When is "just before dormancy?"

    If you are trying to apply Tenacity Herbicide to control bentgrass, per the product label:

    "Apply Tenacity at 5 fl. oz. per acre in at least 30 gallons of water per acre at two to three week interval for up to three applications. Apply with a NIS surfactant. Bentgrass control may be more effective in the late summer/early fall just prior to onset of renewed bentgrass growth, than spring/early summer applications."

    Can Dimension 2EW be mixed with Tenacity?
    I'm planning to spray in fall to remove weeds and grassy. So, I'm wondering if Tenacity can mix with Dimension? It would be okay?

    The Tenacity product label does state that it can be mixed with pre-emergence products to provide season long control.  Dimension's product label does also state that it can be.  Please refer to both for complete instructions and you may need to perform a compatibility test before treatment.

    How long after application of Tenacity Herbicide should I wait to reseed?
    I will be using Tenacity to control Nimblewill, and my lawn is perennial rye and fine fescue.

    Generally, if you are treating with Tenacity Herbicide and using a tolerant seed, the applications can be done at the same time. If not, we would recommend waiting three months after the application of Tenacity Herbicide to re-seed your lawn.     Can Tenacity Herbicide be stored after mixing with water and surfactant for use at a later date?
    I mix Tenacity, a surfactant, and water in one gallon batches to spot treat my lawn using a pump sprayer. I frequently have part of a mixture left over when I finish treating. Can I store it for two weeks and use it for a follow up treatment?

    Tenacity that has been mixed with water and a surfactant should be used within 24 hours of mixing and then discarded. If it is in its original container and stored away from extreme temperatures, it will have a three year shelf life unmixed.

    Is raking after Tenacity Herbicide application recommended / required ?

    It is not required to rake after Tenacity Herbicide application. However, if you are reseeding or anything of that nature it would be best to rake.

    Will Tenacity Herbicide kill crabgrass coming up in my Centipedegrass lawn without harming the grass?
    A

    Tenacity Herbicide would be a great option for you to control crabgrass without harming your Centipede lawn.  Tenacity needs to be tank mixed with a non ionic surfactant or the best results and stick to the leaf surface of the weeds, and its advised to use a dye like Turf Mark Blue with it so you can make sure to not overlap if you plan to do a broadcast application on the property. According to the Tenacity product label you will need to mix 1/2 tsp of product + 1 1/2 tsp surfactant with 1 gallon of water for spot treatments. After spraying with Tenacity Herbicide, the foliage of treated weeds cease growth after application, then turn white (loss of chlorophyll), and death may take up to three weeks. A repeat application is required after two to three weeks for improved postemergence weed control.

    Would it be OK to apply Tenacity Herbicide in the evening, after it cooled down for the day?
    No application above 80 deg. Does that mean don't apply anytime when temps are consistently above 80 or just not at the exact time it's that hot? Would it be OK to apply in the evening, after it cooled down, even though it gets that hot during the day? Or should I wait a couple of months until consistently cooler temperatures set in?

    When the label states that no applications should be made when temperatures are above 80 degrees, this means that the product should not applied when it is 80 degrees and above. Tenacity Herbicide can be sprayed in the evening time and/or early morning hours.

    After spraying Tenacity Herbicide, when the weeds turn white, do you pull them or just reseed?
    I was told I had nimblewill in my yard. It was a large portion with green blades and brown plus some other weeds. I purchased tenacity from you and applied it. The areas that were brown and green haven't turned white but the are scattered portions of other weeds that have. Does that mean anything? Also, am I supposed to pull them after they turn white and reseed?

    After spraying with Tenacity Herbicide, the foliage of treated weeds cease growth after application, then turn white (loss of chlorophyll), and death may take up to three weeks. A repeat application is required after two to three weeks for improved postemergence weed control. We would not recommend pulling up any weeds because the product will not get into the root system, and the weeds may come back at that point.

    Will application of Tenacity in the evening be as effective as applying in the early or mid-morning?

    Is Tenacity Herbicide Effective on broadleaf woody invasive and poison ivy?
    I'm having difficulty with oriental bittersweet and poison ivy. Is this herbicide effective?

    Tenacity Herbicide  would not be the best product for Poison Ivy. BK 32 would be a better option for Bittersweet and Poison IVy. BK32 can be applied to most Residential Turf: Bluegrass, Fesue, Rye, Bent, Bermuda, Bahia and Zoysia Lawns 
    Avoid application to St. Augustine or Centipede lawns unless injury can be tolerated.

    Is Tenacity Herbicide Safe on Spruce Trees?
    Can I spray this product as both an herbicide and pre emergent in and around blue spruce ornamental trees (weeds emerging through bottom branches)? If yes, what is a safe application rate?

    Tenacity Herbicide  could pose a discoloration if it gets on the bark. You want to try and make the application on a day that is not very windy. According to the Tenacity product label you will need to mix 1/2 tsp of product + 1 1/2 tsp surfactant with 1 gallon of water. Tenacity will also act as a pre emergent for listed weeds.

    How long does Tenacity take to kill plants?
    I used the recommended spot treatment amounts of Tenacity with surfactant. Even applied 2nd treatment to most of it. Most leaves turned white as expected but not all and the weeds did not die. Now all it of appears to have recovered as most of it is a normal green. What do I do now? Try again? I am worried about applying too much but the nimblewill will not die but turned white.

    How do I apply Tenacity Herbicide for Kentucky Bluegrass?
    "Unless renovating and/or re-seeding the home lawn, avoid broadcast applications of Tenacity for pre and post-emergence weed control because undesirable whitening of some turfgrasses may occur." What turfgrasses are susceptible to whitening? I have a Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass mix.

    Tenacity Herbicide can cause lightening of turf grasses labeled as not tolerant. The application rate you should use to ensure the Kentucky Bluegrass and Ryegrass will not lighten is no more than 5oz per acre.

    Does Tenacity Herbicide need to be watered in after applying?
    A
    After treating with Tenacity, you want the product to have at least 6 hours of dry time before any rain or irrigation occurs. You do not want/need to water after a post emergent application. We recommend using the spot treatment rate of Tenacity in the dense areas so as to not cause damage to your lawn. Tenacity is known due to its power to even with an accurate application to sometimes temporarily whiten the turf surrounding the weed areas. The color will normally return within 3-4 weeks so to minimize the chance of turf discoloration you will want to use the lower dose at first and be cautious to not overlap or too heavily apply the product.
