Tenacity Herbicide is best applied either 2 weeks before seeding or 2-3 weeks after seeding to prevent injury for Centipede lawns.

Yes, Tenacity Herbicide is labeled to control veronica speedwell. Please refer to the product label for the recommended rates for your specific turfgrass.
If applying Tenacity Herbicide for pre emergent control in late fall or early spring, the timing of the application is important in order to prevent weeds from germinating. For best results, Tenacity should be applied at the same time as overseeding for weed prevention. Results can also depend on the specific weeds you are targeting and if Tenacity is listed to control them as a pre emergent or as a post emergent.
For specific timing recommendations, we like to recommend checking with your County Extension Office for their recommendations as this can vary from region to region.
For a full list of Weeds Controlled by Pre/Post Emergent applications, refer to page 9 on the product label. Remember, for post emergent control of weeds with Tenacity – a non ionic surfactant is needed.
We would advise to apply the Moss killer and wait about 7 days to apply Tenacity Herbicide along with the non ionic surfactant for post emergent control of weeds.
Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled for Virginia Buttonweed.
Fertilome Weed Free Zone is labeled for cool and warm season grasses and labeled to treat Virginia Buttonweed. Keep in mind, typically if this weed is well established and mature - you will need 2 applications for complete control.
View the Fertilome Weed Free Zone product label for more information.
Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled for yarrow. This weed can be difficult to get rid of especially if the rhizomes are not fully removed which you would need to dig down about 12 inches.
Consider using Q4 Plus which is labeled for yarrow. Please refer to the product label to ensure your desired turfgrass species is tolerable.
When using Tenacity Herbicide as a pre-emergent and seeding, you can apply Tenacity before or at the time of seeding for best results as long as you are planting a turfgrass that is listed as tolerant on the product label (Kentucky bluegrass and tall fescue are tolerant). The key time to avoid spraying Tenacity on new seedings, either as a pre-emergent or a post-emergent, would be when the new seedlings have started to come up but are not yet established. Once you see new seedlings, you would want to wait at least four weeks or until the new grass has been mowed twice, whichever is longer.
Please refer to page 12 of the product label for complete application instructions around seeding.
Tenacity Herbicide should not be tank mixed with Q4. Q4 does not require the addition of a surfactant for post emergent applications while Tenacity does. You also only spot treat with Tenacity for post emergent control but can broadcast with the Q4.
Depending on what type of grass type you have, you will need to use anywhere from 5 to 8 oz of Tenacity Herbicide per acre or 0.11 to 0.18 oz per 1,000 square feet. The product labels states to use a minimum of 30 gallons of water per acre (0.69 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft) for adequate coverage therefore we recommend making your application at 3 mph or contacting the sprayer manufacturer for tips on adjusting to your needs.
Please review the Tenacity product label for the recommended rate for your turfgrass and complete instructions.Tenacity Herbicide is only labeled to be used on Bermuda when it is dormant, otherwise it can be sensitive to applications and could harm it. Since Tenacity Herbicide can be used only on fully dormant Bermudagrass, there is not a time when you would be overseeding and using Tenacity at the same time. You would overseed with Bermuda when the turf is actively growing in spring or summer, if needed at all. So if you applied Tenacity on dormant Bermuda, then it would be long gone by the time the turf is completely green and any seeding would be done. If you would like to tell us more about the weeds you are targeting, then we can recommend alternate products for your needs.
You can apply Tenacity Herbicide multiple times per year as long as you do not exceed the maximum annual rate of 16 oz per acre per year.
After spraying with Tenacity Herbicide, the foliage of treated weeds cease growth after application, then turn white (loss of chlorophyll), and death may take up to three weeks. A repeat application is required after two to three weeks for improved postemergence weed control. We would not recommend pulling up any weeds because the product will not get into the root system, and the weeds may come back at that point. It is usually best to remove any excess dead plant matter before you over seed the lawn. Tenacity will not interfere with seed germination of turf grasses listed as tolerant on the product label.
According to the manufacturer's product label for Tenacity Herbicide, "Do not plant any crop other than turfgrass species for 18 months after the last application of Tenacity or injury may occur".
For best results, do not apply Tenacity Herbicide when rainfall is forecasted to occur within 24-48 hours. However, Tenacity Herbicide will be rainfast 4 hours after it has been applied or after it has dried.
Tenacity Herbicide should be applied when temperatures are between 65 to 85 degrees to prevent inujry or burning of turfgrass. During summer/hot months when daytime temperatures reach above 85 degrees, applications should be done in early morning or late afternoon/evening when temps are coolest for the day to help prevent any injury to the lawn.
Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled for torpedograss and for crabgrass, it is only going to be effective on newly emerged crabgrass up to the 4th tiller stage. It is not going to eliminate mature crabgrass. A non ionic surfactant is needed for best results when spraying as a post emergent.

We would not recommend tank mixing Tenacity Herbicide with other herbicides like Empero when applying as a post emergent application. Tenacity is only labeled for spot treating when applying to actively growing weeds where others allow for broadcasting an area. Tenacity is only broadcasted when applied as a pre-emergent application.
