Yes, you can treat this infestation using Termidor Foam. You will need to drill into the infested area to apply the foam. Termidor FOAM expands rapidly creating a dry foam that can be applied in the voids, harborages, galleries, and nests where insects are found. The foam generated has an expansion ratio of 30:1. You should only use the Termidor Foam to directly spot treat active infestations of termites inside. If they are in the wood in the wall on the second story then yes you would use it there.
We do recommend that you spot treat the area you have seen with the activity using Termidor FOAM. We also recommend that you treat around the outside perimeter of the foundation with Termidor SC. Please refer to our Termite Guide for helpful tips and application videos.

Termidor FOAM and Termidor SC when accompanied by a foaming agent would be the same application. However, the Termidor SC with a foamin agent would cover more area, and certainly be more economical if you had larger areas or more than one area to treat.
Yes, Termidor FOAM is a water-based foam, however it is considered a dry foam, meaning it has a very small water content and will not be absorbed into wood studding or insulation.
The Termidor FOAMÂ has different uses and different percentages of the active ingredients in it along with a different carrier method as well. All of these things combined will give it a different residual time.
No, Termidor SC should only be used indoors if you are treating an active termite infestation and you know where the pests are. We would not recommend applying this product while pets and/or children are indoors. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for pets to return to the area.
Termidor Foam, just like the liquid Termidor SC, is a non repellent formulation. This means that when spot treating in voids where you believe there is activity, the termites will not detect the product and it will not cause them to move. If you are doing a soil treatment as well this will take care of the colony as well and will transfer to the ones within the home.
You can use Termidor FOAM in the wood post. You would need to drill directly into the galllery where the drywood termites are infesting and foam into it as directed on the product label.
Termidor FOAM will expand at a ratio of about 30:1, so each 20 ounce can will create about 20 quarts of foam, covering approximately 1,155 cubic inches.
If you have termites, you should drill holes into the galleries and inject Termidor Foam to directly eliminate the colony. Termidor Foam is not labeled for yellow jackets. Termidor SC may be used for yellow jackets found on the exterior of a structure or within 1 foot of the foundation.
