    A
Termidor SC is not labeled for bedbugs or used indoors at all. We do not recommend using Termidor SC for bedbugs as it has not been tested for bedbugs or for use indoors. Q
How fast does Termidor kill yellow jackets that are inside an outside wall?

    Q
Should I treat with Boracare or Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide?
Repairing a deck and see some termite damage on the unpainted wood. I want it to kill and prevent any future termite damage for years.
    A

Bora-Care is a wood treatment product that can be used as directed for the unpainted wood. Termidor SC  should be applied as directed to the soil for treatment treatment/prevention as directed or you can use to directly spot spray in the wood by injecting but it does not offer any protection, but Boracare would provide long term protection in addition to control and would be better to use. Here is a guide on Subterranean Termite treatment and this guide will offer information for Drywood Termites.

    Q
Can Termidor be sprayed inside a house?
Our pest control guy sprayed this inside our home an inch or so from the baseboards, Is that typical for pest control in southwest Florida?
    A

Termidor SC can only be used to spot treat for termites in wall voids indoors. There is a professional version of Termidor that only pest control companies can purchase and use, but it does have an indoor label.

    Q
I have a concrete slab in my back yard how do I apply it where there’s no dirt

You want to apply the product right up against the foundation, and if there is concrete butted up against the foundation then you will need to drill holes to apply the product.  Here is our guide on termites for more useful information.

  • Asked by Eva from Gilbert, Az
    11/27/2024
    Q
    Termidor HE vs Termidor SC
What is the difference between Termidor HE vs Termidor SC? I know the HE stands for High Efficiency, but other than that, I'm unsure. I live in AZ and I've heard Termidor HE is the best, however, you don't sell the Termidor HE only the SC. I want to buy the best product to take care of the termites. Can someone please help me understand the difference between the HE and the SC?
    A

We do not sell the HE so we cannot advise too much on this product, but based on a general search it is the same active ingredient as the Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide the only difference is the HE is formulated to reduce time and labor by at least 50% per treatment, with reduced application volumes, shallower treatment depths, and smaller trenches. For more information, the manufacture would be able to advise a more in-depth answer on the formulation difference.

  • Asked by Eric from Gretna, La
    11/30/2024
    Q
    Taurus SC Application
I added an inch of fresh topsoil around a portion of my slab and already had Termidor SC application professionally done recently. What is the best practice and method to re-apply? Should I re-trench or soak top soil layer of fresh mud?
    A

If the original trenching treatment has not been disturbed, and only new soil has been applied to the top, you can go through and thoroughly wet the new soil with Taurus SC or Termidor SC solution to create a complete barrier around the structure.

    Q
Do I need to have a license to work as self-employed using Termidor sc on construction in Texas?
    A

Termidor SC can be applied on your own property without a license. Unless you have a state-issued applicator license, it should not be applied to anyone else's property or for profit. We cannot sell this product to the following states: CT, NY, SC, MA, IN, and WA due to restrictions and regulations in those particular states. In most cases, there are alternative products that can be purchased and shipped without any issues.

  • Asked by Brad from Gainesville, Ga
    06/26/2015
    Q
Will Termidor SC work for Florida carpenter ants and other carpenter ants?
Are both attracted to the same baits? Florida carpenters seem more finicky-can't get them to take baits.
    A

Carpenter ants in FL would be the same as carpenter ants in other regions of the country. We generally recommend using Termidor SC outdoors around the perimeter of your home. This is labeled to be used every six months outdoors.

What types of bait are you using? We would be happy to make another recommendation if you have been using them for a while.

  • Asked by Steve from Brattleboro Vt
    06/29/2015
    Q
Would we use Termidor SC to treat an old nesting sight and very minimal termite damage?
    A
We recommend that you apply a termiticide in a trench and drilled holes around the perimeter of your home to provide a barrier that will last up to 10 years in the soil. It will eradicate the termites in as little as 90 days depending on the size of the colony or colonies. If you plan to treat the home yourself, we recommend that you get the meausrements (lineal footage) and read the How to Perform a Termite Treatment Article.

  • Asked by Dennis from Prescott, Az
    08/17/2015
    Q
How wet do I spray Termidor SC: just fog it or real wet?
    A

When apply Termidor SC as a perimeter spray, apply at a rate of 1.5 gallons of solution per 1,000 square feet, using 0.8 ounces of concentrate per gallon of water. You should spray to evenly cover with a low-pressure coarse spray, so you do not need to drench the areas you are treating. Termidor SC should be used in a pressurized sprayer, not in any type of fogging or misting machine. For general perimeter treatments with Termidor SC, see the last two pages of the product label.
