I understand that Termidor bonds to soil, but does it also bond to mulch?

Termidor SC does not bond to mulch the same way it bonds to the soil.  When applied to the soil per label instructions, it will bond with the soil to remain effective for up to 10 years.

    Q
When it rains a lot, will it wash Termidor SC off my house?
    A

Termidor SC is labeled for against structures 1 ft and 1 ft out. It is safe if it had at least 24 hrs after application to dry prior to rain. We do offer products that are great for other areas on the structure for carpenter bees. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Carpenter Bees and our Carpenter Bee Control Kit.

  • Asked by Will from Scranton, Sc

    Q
If there is no difference between Termidor SC and Taurus SC, why would a state ban one product and not the other?
    A

Termidor Sc and Taurus SC are essentially the same product they are just made by different manufacturers. They both carry almost the exact same label and there is not any advantage to using one product over the other. There are many reasons that include: state restrictions, licensing etc that are involved with allowing products to certain states.

  • Asked by Joyce from Waynesboro

    Q
Do I need to treat my crawl space if I am doing a trench application with Termidor SC?
I have termites in a very small crawl space where a room was added on. How would I treat this area if I am not able to get in the space?
    A

We actually recommend, if possible, to apply Termidor in a trench inside the crawl space. You will use the same method as you do around the entire structure.  If you are not able to do so it might be best to contact a professional company for options.

    Q
Can you do a termite trench while it is raining?
    A

If you are applying Termidor SC you want to make sure there is not going to be rain for at least 24 hours after application. If you know it is going to rain within that time frame, you should wait until the rain is passed and will be sunny and dry for a day or two

  • Asked by John from Addison, Tx
    04/26/2018
    Q
Can Termidor for Termites be applied outside when raining?
    A

You should not apply Termidor SC if it is going to rain the same day.  It is best to wait until you have a few days of no rain in the forecast. Termidor SC is made to bond to the soil but it needs time to "set" and bond to hold up against a rain event.

  • Asked by Frank from Marina Ca
    04/25/2018
    Q
Can Termidor SC be used first, then Boracare sprayed on top of it in crawlspaces?
    A

Termidor SC is not really meant to be used as a crawl space wood treatment.  If you are going to be applying Boracare, it is not necessary to also use Termidor.  Boracare will penetrate completely into the wood and will remain active for the life of the wood.
