A True Starling Live Trap
By Will on 02/26/2016
You where not much help, the wire you made the trap out of was 1x1 and it didn't work well because, most starling got out threw the wire. Perhaps you where saving money be not making the trap out of 1/2 x1 wire. But now I have detailed plan to make a working Double Door Starling Live Trap.

Incredibly effective trap!
By Zach on 08/21/2020
I bought this trap to catch starlings which have invaded my bird feeders. They come in large numbers and bully the smaller birds. I was skeptical of this trap as some reviewers of it online mentioned how it was ineffective for them. I don't know what they are doing wrong. I took some peanut suet and broke it up by the entrances and placed more inside of the trap. In 2 days, i caught 20 birds. All were starlings. I didn't need to bend the funnel tines, but others have said they needed to. I'm my state, there is no limit to how many starlings you can catch as they are invasive and non native. I'm really impressed with this trap. It was worth the high price tag. If something happened to my current trap, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Tomahawk Starling Trap
By Anne on 05/01/2020
The trap is working great! It is really helping me eliminate some of the immediate starling population in my area. I had some Red Belly Woodpeckers set up a nest in my back yard and the starlings immediately took over the nest, which was very upsetting. This prompted my purchase of the trap and I am very happy with the results! This invasive species needs to be eliminated whenever possible for the well being of native woodpecker populations. Thank you for this great tool!

I've done everything recommended but cannot get those pesky birds to go into the trap. Looked so easy on youtube and on the website.

Love these traps!
By Steve on 06/14/2019
The quality of these traps exceeded my expectations. Very well made and will last a life time if properly cared for. Have not put them to use yet, but I expect to trap hundreds of nasty starlings when the fledglings appear soon!

Your product title states 'Starling' trap, but under description you state 'Grackle' trap. Which is it and how do the birds compare in size?
Common grackles are a type of blackbird that measure 11-13.4 inches in length and weigh 2.5-5 oz. Starlings are one of the three most common nuisance birds, and they are slightly smaller, measuring 7.9-9.7 inches in length and weighing 2.1-3.4 oz. Any birds in this size range would fit inside the Tomahawk Double Door Starling Live Trap - Model 503.

What wire size is being used on this trap? I had gotten another trap and the birds went through it. Mesh MUCH too large.
