  • Asked by David from King , Nc
    05/22/2018
    Q
Can I use Triad Select Herbicide with a hose end sprayer?
    A

Triad Select Herbicide  could be used if the target weeds are actively growing and healthy in a hand held or backpack sprayer for more accurate applications.  The rate is 1.1 to 1.5 fl oz per 1000 sqft in 0.5 to 5 gallons of water.   Large volumes of spray water (i.e., one fluid ounce in 5 gallons of water per 1500 square feet) will aid in obtaining uniform coverage.  Water is just the carrier is not as important as making sure the correct amount of product is applied over the area, it should be sufficient water to get good coverage.

  • Asked by Eric from Memphis
    05/06/2018
    Q
Can Triad be tank mix with Tenacity and prodiamine 65
    A

Tenacity Herbicide states the following in reference to tank mixing. We always recommend doing a small tank mix test before application.

"Tenacity has been tested in tank mixtures with Barricade 65WG Herbicide (prodiamine), Vanquish® (dicamba), Turflon® ester (riclopyr), Spotlight™ (fluroxypyr), Quicksilver™ (carfentrazone), Basagran® (bentazon), Princep® (simazine), and AAtrex® (atrazine) for safety and efficacy on turfgrasses. Tenacity must be applied at reduced rates (4 fl. oz./A or less) if tank mixed with atrazine, bentazon or simazine. Other tank mixture partners may be safe but have not been tested. Turf managers wanting to tank mix Tenacity with other herbicides should test on a small basis for compatibility, safety and efficacy before treating large areas. See product labels for directions and precautions"

    Q
How many ounces of Triad do I have to use per gallon for St Augustine grass? I live in Florida
    A

Triad Select Herbicide does not gives rates per gallon but instead rate per area in however much water it takes for you to cover that area.  Per the product label you would use 0.75 to 0.9 fl oz per 1000 sqft in 1 to 5 gallons of water applied to dormant St Augustine only.  You can only apply twice a year as well up to the max rate.
