The Anderson’s 18 - 0 - 4 Fertilizer with 0.426 Barricade Herbicide is a 2 in1 formula that helps protect lawn while feeding the grass to promote stronger roots and turf. It contains 0.426% Prodiamine as its active ingredient which provides effective, pre-emergent control of unwanted broadleaf and grassy weeds in established turfgrasses. It offers residual control of a wide variety of susceptible weeds and it works by preventing germination of weed seeds and stop them from developing. It is most effective when stimulated by at least 0.5 in. of irrigation or rainfall, with shallow addition before germination and within 14 days after application. It contains Fortify-N, a nitrogen stabilizer that features a urease blocker to minimize ammonia volatilization and reduce the loss of Nitrogen. It also feeds just the right amount of essential nutrients at 18-0-4 formulation to achieve a healthier lawn. This granular formula comes in 50 lb. bag.

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Not for use on turf being grown for sale or other commercial use as sod, or for commercial seed production, or for research purposes.
In Virginia, this lawn/turf fertilizer contains phosphorous and is only for nonagricultural use on (i) turf during its first growing season, (ii) on turf areas being repaired or renovated, and (iii) on turf where a soil test performed within the last 3 years indicates a phosphorous deficiency. This fertilizer is not for the routine maintenance of turf.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:
Apply uniformly through suitable, calibrated application equipment.
Nitrogen Notice: For those states with nitrogen application restrictions, including but not limited to, MD, NH, NJ andVA, do not apply more then 4.0 lbs of this product per 1,000 sq. ft.
ESTABLISHED TURF:
This product is a preemergence herbicide that, when properly applied as directed, will control certain grass and broadleaf weeds in established turf grasses and lawns. The maximum amount of this product that may be applied per year is given for each turf grass species in the Maximum Annual Rates section of this label.
Most effective weed control in turf grasses will be obtained when this product is activated by at least 0.5 inch of rainfall or irrigation prior to weed seed germination and within 14 days following application. See the map below for approximate crabgrass seed germination dates.
Use Restrictions and Precautions:
The following precautions apply to the use of this product in turf grasses and lawns:
Rates of Application:
This product may be applied as a single application or in sequential applications to control weeds germinating throughout the year. All applications must be made prior to germination of the target weeds. This product will not control established weeds.
Maximum use rate selection should be based on turf species. The length of time of residual weed control provided by this product is related to the rate applied.
(See label for complete rates).
WEEDS CONTROLLED:
When used at the recommended rates this product will control: Barnyardgrass; Bluegrass, Annual (Poa annua); Carpetweed; Chickweed, Common; Chickweed, Mouseear (from seed); Crabgrass (Large, Smooth); Crowfootgrass; Cupgrass, Woolly; Foxtails, Annual; Goosegrass1; Henbit; Itchgrass; Johnsongrass (from seed); Junglerice; Knotweed; Kochia; Lambsquarter, Common; Lovegrass; Oxalis; Panicum (Texas, Fall, Browntop); Pigweed; Purslane, Common; Pusley, Florida; Rescuegrass3; Shepherd’s Purse2; Signalgrass, Broadleaf; Speedwell, Persian; Sprangletop; Spurge, Prostrate; Witchgrass; Woodsorrel, Yellow (from seed).
1-In many areas a single application of 3.6 to 8.1 lbs/1,000 sq. ft. (155 to 352 lbs/A) of this product will control goosegrass. However, under heavy goosegrass pressure and/or an extended growing season, most effective weed control may be obtained by making an initial application of 3.6 to 5.4 lbs/1,000 sq. ft. (155 to 235 lbs/A) followed after 60 to 90 days by a second application at doses that would not exceed those given in the Maximum Annual Rates Table. Do not exceed the maximum rate for turfgrass species listed in the Maximum Annual Rates Table on the label.
2-Applications for this weed should be made in late summer, fall, or winter prior to germination. Do not exceed the maximum application rates specified in the Maximum Annual Rates table.
3-Suppression only.
Sequential applications may be made so long as the total amount of product applied does not exceed the maximum application rates specified in the Maximum Annual Rates table. All applications must be made prior to germination of the weed seeds.
When to Apply After Overseeding Turf:
Do not apply to overseeded turf within 60 days after seeding or until after the second mowing, whichever is longer. Injury to desirable seedlings is likely if this product is applied before seedling secondary roots are in the second inch of soil, not thatch plus soil.
* Note: In AZ, CA, NV and TX, the overseeding interval can be shorter in established bermudagrass that has been overseeded with perennial ryegrass. See the next section “Poa annua Control in Established Bermudagrass Overseeded with Perennial Ryegrass (AZ, CA, NV and TX only)”.
Poa annua Control in Established Bermudagrass Overseeded with Perennial Ryegrass (AZ, CA, NV and TX only):
Use on golf courses (excluding golf course putting greens) and lawns when overseeding with perennial ryegrass (minimum seed rate of 350 lbs/A).
How Much and When to Apply:
Amount to Apply: 88 - 155 lbs./acre or 2.0 - 3.6 lbs./1,000

However, at concentrations substantially above the level of water solubility, it may be toxic to fish. Granular Fertilizer & Pre-emergent
By Donny on 09/15/2020
It's still a little early to provide a review as I'm anticipating the results come later in the year/next spring as a pre-emergent. So far though the nitrogen and phosphorous contents helped with extending the greening and any areas that had some signs of stress coming out of the heat stress period.

Unfortunately we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo and the manufacturer does not list that spreader on their bag. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this below.

Located in Southern Indiana with fescue grass and wanting to apply when soil temps are a steady 50 degrees. Use CoRoN 18-3-6 mid season last year and worked okay. How fast is shipping?
The Andersons 18 - 0 - 4 Fertilizer with 0.426 Barricade Herbicide contains the pre-emergent herbicide prodiamine and fertilizer. This is similar to the Scotts product you have mentioned, however it has a different active ingredient and N-P-K analysis, and it is formulated as a professional grade product.
We recommend that you have your first application of pre-emergent herbicide down before soil temperature averages 55 degrees or higher for 3 or more days in a row.
We always have Free Shipping, and 50 lb bags would ship via FedEx Ground. Please feel free to contact us at 866-581-7378 if you need assistance selecting a shipping method for your needs.
