    Q
How do you get this Turf Mark Blue off your skin?
    A
You can remove diluted Turf Mark Blue from your skin by washing the area several times with soap and water. If you should get concentrated Turf Mark Blue on your skin, you would still wash several times with soap and water and then use a bleach solution of 20 parts water to 1 part bleach to help break down any remaining dye.

    Q
Can Turf Mark Blue be used without mixing it with an insecticide?
I was watching Holmes On Homes the other night and they were using a blue liquid for termites on the wood. I noticed they were using a paint brush to apply it. I just wonder if this was the same stuff? He gave it very high praise.
    A
Turf Mark Blue can be used by itself without mixing it with anything other than water, however this product is a colorant only to mark where you have treated.  It does not provide any preventative or treatment qualities of termites.  However, this product is most often applied with Bora-Care, a product that is the best there is for treatment directly on wood and will protect against termites for the life of the wood.  We are positive that the product he was painting on the wood was Bora-Care, with Turf Mark Blue mixed with it so you know what was treated.

I made a mess with the Turf Mark Blue quart bottle. How does one use it?
I have used these two spout bottles, smaller versions, for gasoline additives. before. I had a difficult time refilling the small reservoir without getting my hands and surrounding area VERY blue.

    Q
How long after Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye application can dogs safely return to the area?
My dogs eat grass ... Will this pose a safety hazard if they ingest grass that has the blue colorant on it? Also, when can they go on the grass or when can we walk around barefoot without getting the color transferred to us?
    A

Areas that have been treated with Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye are safe for pets to return to once dry, typically after 4-6 hours.  We would recommend avoiding walking barefoot in the area for a few days just to be sure there will be no transfer to skin.  If transfer does occur, it will take lots of scrubbing with soap and water to remove.

    Q
Will the blue tint stay on the wood or will it soak in?
I've read on this site's description of Turf Mark that if used on foundation studs of new homes the termite inspector can tell in the future where the Bore-Care spray has been applied. This seems to indicate that the tint remains on the wood!
    A
That is correct.  Turf Mark Blue when used in a borate solution will penetrate through the wood with Bora-Care and stay in the wood forever.  It will in a sense stain the wood so you will forever be able to tell where you applied the product.
