    Q
I understand 2-3 oz per 1000sq ft of TurfGrassPro 0-0-29. How much water is needed in the sprayer?
    Is this per 1 gallon?
    A

The amount of water you will use is with TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 however much water it takes you to cover 1,000 sq. ft.  We recommend putting plain water in your sprayer and mark off a 50' x 20' area and apply that water just as if you were applying your chemicals.  When finished check to see how much water it took you to cover that area and this is the amount of water you will use with your 2-3oz of product.  The reason it is labeled this way is because everyone is using different equipment and walks at a different pace, for example it takes me 1 1/4 gallons to cover 1,000 sq. ft. however my co-worker applies it with his tow behind sprayer and it only takes him .50 gallons to cover 1,000 sq. ft.

The most important thing is that you are getting the right amount of product down in that 1,000 sq. ft. otherwise you may not get the results that you expect.

    Q
Do you offer TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 in a 32oz hose end container that meter's the product automatically?
All one needs to to is screw the nozzle onto the male coupling on the end of a garden lawn hose and turn it on and spray.
    A
TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 is a professional grade liquid fertilizer, so it is not available in a hose-end (ready-to-spray) container. Liquid fertilizers need to applied precisely and with enough water, so most liquid fertilizers will not have application directions for use in a hose-end sprayer.

The only ready-to-spray fertilizer we have available currently is Ironite Plus, which is a 7-0-1 that is designed as a supplement to regular fertilizing.

    Q
How much water is needed to apply TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 to treat 4000 sq ft of lawn using a 4 gallon tank sprayer?
    A

The mix rate of  TurfGrassPro 0 - 0 - 29 for both warm and cool season turf is 2.0 - 3.0 oz.per 1000 sq ft. You will need to determine how much water it takes to cover 1000 sq ft for your application. We recommend marking off a 50ft x  20ft section of the lawn, fill your tank sprayer with plain water and do a mock application just as you would to apply the product. If it take 1 gallon of water to evenly cover the 1000 sq ft, then you will use 4 gallons of water total to treat the entire 4000 sq ft lawn. Per the product label, retreat every 7-14 days.

Please review the product label before use.

    Q
How does TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 compare to 0-0-22 K-mag?
I was suggested by agronomist after soil test to increase K and Mag and sulfur with K-mag but it is hard to find. Would this work too?
    A

Unfortunately, we're not familiar with 0-0-22 K-mag but TurfGrass Pro 0-0-29 has 29% soluble potash only. If you are in need of magnesium and other micronutrients, you could also use TurfGrass Pro Micros along with TurfGrass Pro 0-0-29.

  • Asked by Chris from Bay Shore
    04/18/2020
    Q
What is the pH of TurfGrassPro 0 - 0- 29?
I'm looking for a detailed label and/ or spec sheet. In particular, pH of the product is a consideration, since I need both K and to raise pH. I'm looking to compare this to Growth Products 0-0-25, which has a pH of 12. I purchased Cal-Flo from you and will also be using that to address a low pH level indicated by my soil test.
    A

TurfGrassPro 0-0-29 has a neutral ph level of 7.5. Though elemental sulfur is frequently used to make alkaline soil more acidic, the sulfur in potassium sulfate does not have any significant effect on soil pH.
