It takes at least 10-14 days to notice results when using TZone SE Herbicide. You will want to wait at least 30 days in between applications and do not exceed 2 applications per year. For cool season turf, the rate is 1.2-1.5 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft and 0.75-0.83 fl oz per gallon per 1,000 sq ft for warm season turf.
TZone SE Herbicide is applied at the rates listed on the label here:
For cool season turf, the rate is 1.2-1.5 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft., and 0.75-0.83 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for warm season turf.
TZone SE Herbicide should be applied when listed weeds are actively growing and the temperatures are between 55-85 degrees.
Areas that were treated with TZone can be reseeded 3 weeks after application.
If you are in very dry conditions, then you should irrigate the lawn 24 hrs prior to treating with TZone SE Herbicide. It should be applied when you are not expecting rainfall within 24 hours following the application (do not use irrigation/sprinklers etc).
TZone SE Herbicide has a shelf life of 2-3 years from the manufactured date when stored in a cool dry area and is kept out of extreme heat or freezing temperatures.
TZONE SE Broadleaf Herbicide for Tough Weeds should not be used on warm-season grasses during Spring green-up or in the Fall when the grass is transitioning into dormancy. This would be applied to warm-season grass only, such as Bermuda and Zoysia. TZone is safe to use on established tall, red, or fine leaf Fescues. If you have just put down new seed, then you should delay using TZone until after the new grass is established (after the 2nd or 3rd mowing). Treated areas may be reseeded 3 weeks after application. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions and precautions.
TZone SE Herbicide is pet safe if used as instructed on the product label. Do not allow people or pets in the area while the product is being applied. Once the treated area has completely dried, it is then safe for pets and people to re-enter the area.
TZone SE Herbicide contains triclopyr which can last up to 1 year in the soil. We would not recommend using clippings for mulch for at least that time
TZone SE Herbicide does not require the use of a surfactant and doing so may damage the leaf tissue of turfgrass. Per the product label: If any discoloration or cosmetic effects are objectionable or would be unacceptable, then adjuvants combined with this product would not be recommended. Do not use adjuvants and spray additives tank mix combinations unless your experience indicates that the tank mixture will not result in turf injury.
Using more TZone SE Herbicide than the labeled rate can injure your turf and over stress the weeds so that they do not absorb the product as well and will not be affected.

TZone SE Herbicide is rainfast in as little as 3 hours. You should not need to reapply due to rainfall 10 hours after the application.
Yes, you can tank mix Quinclorac 75 DF and TZone SE. We recommend mixing dry flowables first and make sure they’re diluted well before adding in a liquid herbicide. Follow the most restrictive label and be sure that your turf type is tolerant to all herbicides being used.
TZone SE Herbicide states on the product label that fall applications provide improved control for clover but please contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the best timing of the application, as this will vary greatly from region to region. If you have just put down new seed, then you should delay using TZone until after the new grass is established (after the 2nd or 3rd mowing). Treated areas may be reseeded 3 weeks after application. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions and precautions.
TZone SE Herbicide is a broadleaf weed killer only and will not prevent or kill crabgrass. You do have to wait until after the second mowing of newly planted seeds to apply this herbicide, per the product label. To prevent crabgrass you would use something like Dimension 2EW or Prodiamine applied before soil temps reach 55 degrees in the spring.
We recommend using a soil analysis test kit or taking a sample of your soil to your local cooperative extension so your soil can be analyzed to determine what nutrients your soil is lacking and which fertilizer would be the best for your needs. The healthiest, hardiest lawns are fertilized 2-4 times per year, fall, summer, early spring and late spring
We do have a soil test kit here.
A good general fertilizer would be the CoRoN 18-3-6 Plus 0.5% Iron, but you do want to be sure it fits your needs.
We apologize, but TZone SE Herbicide currently only is available in the 1-gal. jug.
TZone SE Herbicide should be applied when weeds are actively growing for best results. The more foliage of the weed surfaces that can be treated, the better the results. Applications should be done 2 days before or 2 days after mowing the lawn.
Yes, TZone SE Herbicide can be applied in the morning or late afternoon/early evening when the current temperatures are below 80 to 85 degrees. You just do not want to make applications during the high temperatures of day.
