The Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Station 39000 is a dark green, heavy duty, plastic bait station sized for ground squirrels. It will withstand abuse from non-target animals trying to get into the station. Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Station can be used both indoors and outdoors with most common rodent bait. It has ventilation to allow the bait to stay fresh and has a special baffle to keep it dry and stay in the station. Because it has a child resistant closure (CRC), it is ideal for use in locations with children or pets.

I Placed the squirrel bait into the "Squirrel Bait Station" as directed and the squirrels have done a great job of ignoring it for the past two weeks. In the meantime, I have squirrels running all over the place.

Stations and bait

This whole system of station and bait pellets-this is a mess. They are both expensive and not easy to use-trying 2 get the pellets in without spilling is a joke, and at around $60 bucks a pop-one of the stations got carried away, we r on 3 acres and we got 4 stations and the pellet bait-which calls for pounds being poured into the station-seriously!!! Don't care how long it takes, will find another brand or way!

NOT Child or Pet Safe!

I wish I could rate this item as a negative 5 because it is NOT child or pet safe. The pellets can be dragged out by an exiting squirrel, where a child or pet could eat them. I don't know why, but I thought the whole top came off so one could secure Just One Bite cubes to metal rods. That's a lot safer. Also, it was nearly impossible to get the screw cap off. You're supposed to squeeze the sides of the cap at the location of the arrows. That's supposed to cause the security tabs to expand outward so they will pass the security tab on the rim. Squeezing does NOTHING. I called Wilco twice, asking for help. Both times, I was told to squeeze the lid at the arrows. I explained (what I described above). They didn't have a solution except to "squeeze really HARD". I used a screwdriver to press "really HARD" on one tab. Now the lid is not secure.

The Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Station 39000 is really for ground squirrels, but there is nothing to stop other types or squirrels or rodents from getting into the station and eating any bait inside if they are small enough to fit inside.

No, the Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Stations are not live traps. They are reusable bait stations and can be refilled with bait. We do sell a variety of squirrel traps, which you can view on our Squirrel Control Page.

There is one hole on each side of the Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Station that will allow for you to thread a rope or wire through to tie the station up somewhere, or you can nail the station to a stationary piece of wood using the same holes.

The station is still good but the lids are cracking.
Unfortunately, the lids for the Wilco Ground Squirrel Bait Station 39000 are not available for purchase separately. If you have ordered these stations from us, then we can contact the manufacturer on your behalf to possibly obtain replacement lids for you. If you purchased from a different company, then we would recommend contacting the retailer to inquire about damage or defective stations.
