With the Wilco Rat And Mouse Bait Station, the mice or rats will go into the station via the holes on the back portion. The bait is placed inside the area where the white top is. The mice and rats will turn right to go towards the bait and go out the same way they came.

There are no pegs inside the Wilco Rat And Mouse Bait Station but according to the manufacturer, there is a special baffle inside which keeps the bait dry and in place.
