TakeDown Soft Bait is a specially formulated rodenticide which provides solutions to your rodent control problems. It is the first and only soft bait formulated with bromethalin (100 ppm), which is an acute, non-anticoagulant neurotoxin. It is designed to work on heavy infestations and anticoagulant-resistant rodent populations. It features a combination of powerful formula and palatability of soft bait which is highly accepted by rodents. It guarantees to provide effective and quick results - start seeing results in 2 to 3 days after placement. Each lethal dose comes in a unique packaging which allows the aroma to slip and attract roof rats, house mice, and Norway rats. It is a wax-free formula that enhances palatability and won't melt in high temperatures. Secure these pouches with our without paper using bait station rods or the SoftSecure Technology. Available in an easy-to-carry 4-lb. resealable bag. Soft bait is 8 grams (0.28 ounces per pouch). There are 227 pouches per 4 pound bag. Cases come with four of the 4 lb bags, totaling 16 lbs and 908 soft bait pouches.

House Mice: Apply 1 to 2 pouches per placement, usually spaced 8 to 12 feet apart. Up to 4 pouches may be needed at points of very high house mouse activity.
Rats: Apply 4 to 24 pouches per placement, usually spaced 15 to 30 feet apart. Adjust the amount of bait applied to the level of rat feeding expected at each bait placement. Bait may be removed from pouch and placed in a feeding device that secures the unwrapped bait in a bait station. Discard empty wrapper in the trash.
Baiting Strategy: Highest bait consumption is expected to occur on the first day or two after treatment begins. After several days, inspect placement and replenish bait at sites where there is evidence of heavy feeding or where there is continued evidence of rodent activity. Normally, the volume of bait consumed will be significantly less with bromethalin baits than the anticoagulant baits. Although one night’s feeding will usually provide a lethal dose, maintain bait for at least one week to provide all rodents a chance to feed on the bait. Continue baiting until all signs of feeding have ceased.

I live in a condo/ townhouse and rats came about 2 years ago.. Once I discovered that the holes were rats and not chipmunks, I learned how to bait the holes. I love your soft bait!! I am rodent free!! Thank you so very much!!

Lackluster Results
By Patrick on 07/06/2020
I put 30 packs around jail where I work. I specifically put them near clusters of burrows and where I'd usually see rat activity at night. Out of 30 packs in in different areas at work covering 96 acres only 2 vanished. I even watched rats walk over these without any interest. I now have buyers remorse. So far nothing is better than the 4 pound bag of Victor Rodent Killer that looks like little green balls and smells like fish. They swarm to it, eating as much as possible and it only cost me $14 a bag at my local home improvement store. Guess I'll stick to it.

Power Punch
By Robert on 03/18/2021
When used as labeled, Take Down is a great wipeout or cleanout rodenticide. Because it contains a "stop feed", you only need 1-2 packs per station for mice or 2-4 packs for rats. Take Down is NOT meant to be used as a maintenance, but instead a bait for getting major infestations under control before switching to a maintenance program.

Unfortunately the EPA regulates most rodenticides and only allows them to be sold in certain quantities. The TakeDown Soft Bait can only be sold in the 16lb weight quantity.

I used with tremendous success - there was a increase in the rodents so I used again but seems like it is not as effective. Curoius if the rodents build up a resistance
TakeDown Soft Bait contains Bromethalin, which is a neurotoxin active ingredient. There are no known issues with resistance to Bromethalin or other neurotoxins since they work very quickly compared with anti-coagulants, and they are not stored in the animals’ tissue. Something that is encountered more often than resistance is bait aversion, which is basically the rodents’ wanting something different to eat.

TakeDown Soft Bait can be used with or without the paper wrapping on the soft bait pouches. If removing the wrapping, be sure to where chemical resistant gloves while handling the bait and the station. Secure the bait pouches on the bait station rods in the tamper reistant bait station.
