Will Remedy kill Ginkgo trees as a foliar application? If so, what is the dosage rate?

Answer:

Remedy Ultra Herbicide is not labeled to kill or control ginkgo trees. Using a non selective glyphosate herbicide and applying as a cut stump method is a very common way to kill unwated trees. Another method would be girdling which is where you remove the bark completely around the circumference of the tree. This prevents the tree from being able to transport nutrients from the leaves to the roots.  We would recommend consulting with a local arborist for their recommendations they have shown to be successful in your area for killing ginkgo trees or your local County Cooperative Extension Office for their herbicide recommendations.
