Will Southern Ag Brush Killer be effective in killing bamboo roots?

We have a huge problem with bamboo - roots everywhere. Had a bulldozer to come and it only tore up the roots producing more. It is going toward our sewer system and is worse every day. Please advice if this product will work or you know of one that will. TY.

Answer:

Brush Killers are typically used to control trees and woody brush and vines and do not typically work well on plants like Bamboo. You didn't mention which type of bamboo you have as there is clumping and spreading bamboo. Typically what is needed will be to use Round Up QuickPro at the highest listed usage rate to help eliminate bamboo. You will be required to cut the bamboo down to a short stump as low to the ground as you can get it, and then apply the Round Up QuickPro immediately to the fresh cuts and drench the plant, and its roots/soil with the chemical. You are welcome to mix in a product like the Southern Ag Brush Killer with the Roundup if you feel this would help in the application results. Due to the fast growing nature of bamboo, and its deep root system, it can take several applications to achieve the desired results.
