Product Overview

Crossbow Herbicide is a specially formulated herbicide for effectively controlling unwanted weeds and woody plants. Contains two active ingredients that selectively targets and eliminates annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and unwanted woody plants. The Winfield Crossbow Herbicide is ideal to use on rangelands, fence rows, conservation reserve program (CRP) acres, roadsides, industrial sites, non-irrigation ditch banks, and non-crop areas. Convenient to use because it may be applied as a foliar treatment or spot treatment and may also be used for foliar broadcast applications. It controls woody plants such as hawthorn, sumac, alder, blackberry, poison ivy, cottonwood, sweetgum, Russian olive, and poison oak. Available in a one-gallon jug.

    Herbicide for Dogbane

    By Edward on 09/08/2019

Crossbow has seems somewhat effective against Dogbane. Crossbow is a little pricey, but was one of the few options I had. The real determination will be if this years application of Crossbow will have eliminate the Dogbane when next spring/summer comes along.

    Excellent Ivy Remover

    By Rosemary on 07/22/2022

Winfield Crossbow Herbicide is the only product I have found that rids my yard of ivy. Unfortunately, it seems that Winfield Crossbow Herbicide is no longer available at any of the local garden or other stores, those that would normally carry herbicides, in my area. Thank goodness for DoMyOwn. I now have a supply on hand to finish ridding my yard of ivy.

Q
Will Crossbow work on scouring rush? Will anything???
A
Winfield Crossbow Herbicide does contain Triclopyr which has shown effectiveness against scouring rush but it is not labeled for it so we cannot recommend it.  I was able to find this great article here regarding control that recommends Remedy as an option though Telar is the most effective just much more expensive option.
