  • Asked by Leslie from Lancaster, Pa

    Q
I was told to use Zenprox EC at 25 fl oz / gallon. Is it effective when using it at this rate?
I will mix up a new batch to spray again but should I wait a month or do it right away at the correct rate?
    A
We are not sure who told you to mix Zenprox EC at a rate of 25 Fl oz per gallon water. To mix at a 25% mixture you would mix 2 Fl oz Zenprox EC into one gallon water. We would not recommend to mix any higher. Over application can irritate the pest and cause them to start a frenzy. This makes it harder to treat for them. Please follow the product label for application.

  • Asked by Chet from Lubbock Tx

    Q
Can Temprid FX be mixed with Zenprox EC?
I know of a pest control company that mixes Temprid FX, Zenprox EC, and Exponent all in a hand pump sprayer and treats with this mixture for bed bugs. is this illegal?
    A

While we cannot comment on the work performed by a professional pest control company, we can tell you that there really is no valid reason to tank mix Zenprox EC Insecticide with Temprid FX as they are both residual insecticides.  Too much insecticide in an area can make insects avoid it and then neither can do their job.

    Q
Zenprox EC says it kills on contact. Does it have an affect on bugs after the solution dries?
Basically does the product work as a boundary. When it dries and bugs cross through the dried product does it still kill or is this product just for on contact kill.
    A
Per the manufacturer the Zenprox EC works bests as a contact kill but will continue to kill insects on nonporous surfaces for about 3-4 days after initial application and 4 days on porous surfaces.

Both Fenvastar and Zenprox are non-repellents and three weeks time has passed therefore there should not be any counteraction between the two.

    Q
Can you spray entire mattress and rooms with Zenprox EC Insecticide? I have a bad case of bed bugs nothing is working pros want $1000 to treat will this get rid of them? Will Zenprox EC Insecticide get rid of them?
I have a bad case of bed bugs nothing is working. Pros want $1000 to treat.
    A

Zenprox EC is labeled for eradicating bedbugs. It is mixed at 2 oz per gallon and is safe for mattress applications on the tufts, folds, seams only. It should not be the sole product for eliminating bedbugs. Please check out our Bedbug Control Kits and take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a successful program. Sterifab or Crossfire can be applied to mattresses and other listed areas.

    Q
Can you have Zenprox EC Insecticide in NJ? Why can't it be used in NY?
    A
Zenprox Ec is available to New Jersey residents. It is a New York specific law that prevents us from shipping certain products to New York.  These are products defined by the New York government that they do not want homeowners using because they are professional products.  We do have a link to New York products that are permissible for us to ship.

  • Asked by Chuck from Cape Girardeau, Mo
    04/25/2017
    Q
Can Zenprox EC be used in a food handling establishment by a professional?
I do my own pest control at home ( thanks to your site) but at my work, I have hired a company that uses Zenprox EC in about 15 of my locations and they are all food establishments. I was wondering if they can use it for non-label use because of a license they have. I am in Missouri if that makes a difference. Thank you for any assistance.
    A

While we cannot comment directly on the work done by a professional, the product label for Zenprox EC Insecticide states for use indoors of non-food handling establishments: licensed or not, the label is law and must be followed.  This means that while in can be used in a restaurant it can only be applied in sitting areas, bathrooms, non food storage closets, etc.  It cannot be used in the kitchen or other areas where food is kept.
