Will Dismiss NXT Herbicide kill torpedograss in Centipede and St. Augustine lawns?

Answer:

No, Dismiss NXT Herbicide is not labeled for torpedograss.  Since torpedograss is so closely related to St. Augustine and Centipede turfgrass, there is not a selective post emergent that would kill torpedograss without also injuring/killing your lawn. We would recommend using a non selective herbicide like Roundup Quick Pro to spot treat and kill the Torpedograss directly then reseeding or resodding the area after 2 weeks. .
