Product Overview

Upgrade to the Advance Termite Bait Station Annual Baiting Refill Kit and start protecting your home from termites on day one.   Your home is an investment and protecting it from termite damage is a top priority.  To keep your in ground bait stations at peak performance, you need to replace the components every 12 months or as conditions require.  When it’s time to replace the components, upgrade to the protection of the Annual Baiting Refill Kit.

The Advance Termite Bait Station Annual Baiting Refill Kits are designed to replace the standard monitoring components with two (2) active-bait cartridges per station.  This provides both preventative and curative termite control from the day the bait cartridges are installed. Whether you have active termites found near your home or looking for a preemptive termite program solution, you will have the peace of mind knowing your home is being actively protected.

When you upgrade to the Annual Baiting Refill Kit, you will only need to perform annual inspections - instead of quarterly inspections with the monitoring inspection cartridges.  This will help save you time throughout the year.

How to Upgrade Your ATBS Station:

Step 1: Open the station

  • Using a Spider Tool, remove the black cap from the station.

Step 2: Remove the Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC)

  • Pull out the TIC using cotter pin puller or needle nose pliers.
  • Use this opportunity to check for termites, looking down into the TMB to inspect for termites.
  • The Advance Termite Bait Station Annual Baiting Refill Kits can be used as a stand-alone structural protection treatment, or if termite activity is found on or in the home, they can be used in conjunction with a liquid termite treatment, such as Termidor SC.

Step 3: Remove the Termite Monitoring Base (TMB)

  • Remove the wooden TMB using the cotter pin puller or needle nose pliers.
  • If the wood base has decayed, use a nail claw to remove it.  The wood base piece(s) can be discarded.
  • Clean out the station.

Step 4: Insert new Trelona Termite Bait Cartridges (TBC)

  • Place two (2) new Trelona Termite Bait Cartridges into the station. Be sure to remove the plastic wrapper from each cartridge before placing inside the station.
  • Replace the station lid and secure the lid using the spider tool.

Q
No need for wood base and termite monitoring cartridge with Advance Termite Bait Station Annual Baiting Refill Kit?

I am confused about the upgrade instructions. When I bought the ATBS system, the instructions said that Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) and Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC) need to used first until termite activities are found, then replace TIC with Trelona Termite Bait Cartridges (TBC). The new upgrade instructions say we can use two TBC without TMB or TIC. Why are the instructions changed now? Is TBC effective to monitor/attract termites?

A

The manufacturer has done extensive new research to ensure the Trelona Termite Bait Cartridges (TBC) are very attractive to termites. The intention is to move to annual checking of the stations to reduce the amount of times pro companies need to visit homes. The Trelona Termite Bait Cartridges (TBC) do need to be changed yearly so the expense is quite a bit higher than using the Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) and Termite Inspection Cartridge (TIC) which do need to be checked quarterly.
