Advion Roach Bait Gel does contain food attractants so we do not suggest using it if you do not have an active roach infestation. However, we highly encourage you to use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol Point Source to prevent roaches from reproducing which will lessen the time it takes to gain complete control. German Roaches are difficult to get rid of in a couple of months even if they have been there for awhile or not. If they have been consuming the Advion for a month that is great especially with you seeing dead ones. You are feeding them to kill each other through sharing not feeding them to reproduce. They do this on their own. You can incorporate an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol to disrupt the reproductive cycle and an insecticide that will offer a residual control such as Temprid FX. Please alternate your bait every 90 days. The next one that I would suggest you use for the next 90 days (replacing every 2wks) is Maxfore FC Magnum. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for a successful eradication program.

If you were using it soon after receiving it, it may be that the product sat in a hot delivery truck before it got to you. While this will not affect the efficacy of the product, if it is difficult to use, it should firm up again if you place it in the refrigerator for a day or so.

I would continue to treat with the perimeter sprays that your using. I would also use a roach bait gel in the area of activity in the crawl space. If you didn’t want to go into the crawl space treating with spray you can bait around the area close to the door. I would use Advion roach gel and apply in small pea size dabs around the door. This along with doing the treatments around the perimeter of the house, should help eliminate the population. You may need to incorporate an IGR to get complete control of the population depending on the type of roach your dealing with.
