    What is the effect of Archer IGR on bees?
    A

    Archer IGR is not labeled to be used against bees.  Since it only acts on the immature life stages of the target insect and not adults it should not affect them.  It generally only affects adults fleas and flies.

    Is it ok to mix Tempo SC, Archer IGR, and Conquer all in one bucket for fleas?
    A

    Archer IGR can be mixed with an insecticide like Tempo Ultra or Conquer following the instructions on each products' label. We do not recommend that you mix two insecticides together as that would be like doubling the usage rate of each insecticide and make the product ineffective.

    Can I mix Archer IGR and Permethrin SFR?
    Can I mix with archer IGR and permethrin SFR to kill the roach and stop them growing? How to mix? How much of each mix with water together? How often?
    A

    Yes, Archer IGR and Permethrin SFR can be mixed together and applied at the same time. The mixing rate is 1 2/3 fl oz of Permethrin SFR and 1 fl oz of Archer IGR per gallon of water. This can be done every 21 days as needed. Be sure to use a bait gel, such as Maxforce Magnum as well inside of cabinets and drawers. Be careful not to spray the bait with insecticides because it will contaminate it and the roaches will not consume it.

    Can i use Archer IGR with Riptide and Permethrin SFR in a fogger?

    Archer IGR can be used with either Riptide or Permethrin SFR.   However, while Archer and Riptide can be used in a fogger, Permethrin SFR cannot.

    Does it make sense to mix Archer IGR, Conquer, and Gentrol IGR together for indoor/outdoor use?
    I've used conquer and archer together, mostly targeting fleas, but would like to add a roach IGR. Does it make sense to mix these three together for indoor/outdoor use?

    No, there is no need to use Gentrol IGR as well as Archer IGR. Archer IGR is labeled for roaches as well.

    Can Archer IGR be used indoors on hardwood floors?
    A

    Archer IGR can be applied to hardwood floors as a crack and crevice treatment only. This means along baseboards, under and around appliances, behind bookcases, door and window frames, inside cabinets and closets, etc per the product label.

    Is Archer IGR or Nyguard IGR effective against oriental cockroaches and which would be better for outdoor use?
    I see on the label it only lists asian, german, and brown-banded roaches. Also looking at Nyguard and that says the same.

    Both the Archer IGR and Nyguard IGR are labeled to treat for both asian and oriental  roaches (which are the same type of roach). If you are using this for an outdoor application you would want to choose the Archer since it is more photostable in an outdoor application.

    Can I mix Archer IGR and Conquer for flea control in my yard? How often do I need to reapply this mixture?
    I have been fighting fleas since last October. I have three standard poodles.

    Yes, Archer IGR and Conquer can be tank mixed and applied to the lawn once every two weeks for flea control. You should mow 1-2 days prior to application. Please read our How to Get Rid of Fleas article for more helpful tips on eradicating this pest.

    How often can I use Archer IGR in conjunction with Talstar?
    I see the treatment can last 7 months but I sprayed both together a couple of months ago and I continue to see mosquitos, as well as ants around my perimeter. I'm primarily using Talstar for both and the Archer to supplement mosquito growth.
    A

    Archer IGR is only photostable outside for about 2 weeks, inside is where it would last the 7 months.  It along with Talstar should be applied once a month through mosquito season to keep the residual up.  You may continue to see mosquitoes even after application as Talstar P is not a true repellent.  It is meant to provide a long residual that will continue to kill insects that contact a treated surface.  Be sure to apply to the underside of leaves of trees and bushes and treat any standing water with a larvacide to further help with elimination.

    Will Archer IGR take care of fleas and roaches?
    I want to prevent fleas (my cat recently got tapeworms from eating one) and I have seen a few dead cockroaches in my new house. Will this product alone take care of both? Neither are a major problem.
    A

    Archer IGR will only stop these pests from growing to become reproductive adults in their immature stage. You can use Onslaught Insecticide to treat for both and it can be used on carpeted areas where you may need flea control. Be sure to follow the label for indoor and outdoor control. You can even mix Onslaught and Archer so you can have a residual insecticide and IGR control at the same time.

    Does Archer IGR work for spiders?

    While you may mix the Archer IGR with a insecticide label for spiders to treat the infected areas to prevent future infestation of many of the insects that spiders eat, neither Archer nor any other IGR is labeled to treat spiders directly.

    How long will Archer IGR be effective for if I spray on any given day and it rains two or three days after?
    I live in Florida, and it's hard to determine when it will definitely rain, or when it'll be just a drizzle. I bought Archer IGR and Talstar One. I've been wanting to spray my yard down but it's been raining, nearly every other day, and I'm afraid the pesticides will wash away. Are there a certain amount of dry days that have to pass to be sure that the fleas have absorbed/come in contact with the pesticides?
    A

    As long as the Talstar and Archer treated area has had time to dry, rain will not wash it away. This takes about 2 hours. Per label, you can reapply once every 28 days.

    Can I mix Archer IGR and Talstar P to get rid of fleas indoors and outdoors? If so, what is the mixing rate?

    Talstar P is labeled for the treatment of fleas outdoors only. It can be mixed with Archer IGR. They can be tank mixed at one ounce for each product to one gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. It can only be applied to indoor cracks and crevices. Fleas will be on the open floor surfaces so it is important to apply a product to those surfaces indoors for eradication. We do carry a Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit.     Can Archer IGR be used on ornamental potted plants such as Orchids and Tropicals for mealybugs?
    A

    Archer IGR is not labeled for mealybugs. When treating for mealy bugs, you could apply TriStar 8.5 SL, and you will use 7.5 ml (0.25oz, 1.5 tsp) per 3 gallons of water for effective control. The Tristar bottle will measure as low as 5 ml in the built-in measuring reservoir. It is suggested that you mix a surfactant with the TriStar when treating for mealybugs for better control. You can use the Non-Ionic surfactant we carry at the rate of 1-2 teaspoons per gallon of water. Do not make more than 4 applications per year. Do not reapply more than once every 7 days. To determine if application is necessary, monitor pest densities.

    How often do I have to spray Archer IGR for fleas inside my home?
    A

    Archer IGR should be used every 10-14 days when treating for fleas. We would also recommend that you use an insecticide in combination with this product for fleas, such as Temprid SC. Both of the products will be used every 10-14 days. Be sure to vacuum daily in between treatments as well. Please see our Flea Treatment Guide for more tips and information.
