Barricade 65WG is specially formulated in a wettable granule for easy and convenient tank mixing with other products. The mix rate will depend on what type of turfgrass you have. There is a chart on pg 10 of he product label that presents the different mix rates. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions before use.
Barricade 65WG Herbicide should be mixed with water as directed on the label; the rate is given in oz per 1000 sq ft and not measured in pounds.
You will need to use 0.185-0.55 oz (1.1 tsp-3.3 tsp) per 1,000 sq ft . To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 0.185-.055 oz (1.1 tsp-3.3 tsp) of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated.Yes, Barricade 65WG Herbicide is safe on cool-season grasses without causing damage or discoloration to the lawn.
The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Barricade 65WG Herbicide is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of lawn. Use too much and you risk damaging your lawn, use too little and you will not get adequate results. You will need to use 0.185-0.55 oz per 1,000 sq ft . Barricade 65WG Herbicide would not be applied in March for poa but rather the fall, and we have heard of many customers experiencing resistance with its active ingredient so we usually suggest going with other ingredients and formulations for poa control instead. Since poa annua and cool season grasses are so closely related, there are few products that will kill the poa annua without also harming the lawn. The only one we are currently aware of is called Prograss which can kill & prevent poa and can be applied at seeding, however it can only be applied to residential lawns by licensed applicators. You may want to see if a service local to you can provide this chemical treatment to your lawn.
Your only other option would be to spot-treat with a Roundup-type product and then reseed with the desirable grass type in those areas. You can use a pre-emergent like Dimension 2EW or Pendulum 2G in the fall and spring when you are not over seeding to help prevent the poa from emerging. Typically a split treatment in the fall will yield to longer and better prevention of the weeds. You would need to skip your fall overseeding and use a pre emergent during that time if you want to effectively stop poa from emerging as that is its prime cycle time frame. You could swap your pre emergent and seeding time frame for a year and do a pre emergent in the fall and overseeding in the spring to help still fill in your lawn while eliminating most of the weed. Keep in mind weed seeds can lay dormant in the soil for a few years so you may need to do this again the following year or in a few years depending on the density of the weed.

The application rate of Barricade 65WG Herbicide is (0.5 gal./1,000 sq. ft.). Please see the label for full application instructions.
Per the label, for southern states, you can overseed within 4-12 months after Barricade 65WG application. However, the number of months depend on the rate you used. You can reference the chart in label on page 12.
Unfortunately Barricade 65WG Herbicide does not give a per gallon rate. In order to determine how much water to use, you will need to calibrate your sprayer. Below is a video to assist with that. If you let us know your grass type, we can assist you with how much product to use though.
