I used to have regular invasions of carpenter ants. It has mostly stopped since I started spreading a narrow (6") strip of bifen all the way around the house. I do this approximately every 6 to 8 months. I also try to keep leaves and other vegetation cleared away from the edge of the house. I also used to get the occasional scorpion in the house but that, too has stopped.

I cancel my monthly mosquito/tick and pest services bought a battery operated 4 gallon backpack sprayer and some products from DMOPC. Went with liquids same as what my service did with misters, also it seemed cheaper but goes fast (Permithin & BiFen). I also picked up two bags of granulars for the yard to try. I under estimating my sq feet by 1/3 so my first go at the granules I only got 2/3 rds done. The next time I cut the grass everything in that 2/3 treated area was dead absolutely nada darn thing flying or coming off the grass or buzzin me. I had nada one honey bee or saw any holes which we struggle with here. After about 2 weeks I noticed that last 1/3 of the yard I did not treat was infested with honey bees and once I got to the untreated part of the yard all kinds of bugs, nats, and bees, flying in protest to the mowing. I only had liquid and even after 2 weeks with lots of rain this area was only partially knocked down and better while the originally treated area still nada one bug. 2 months the originally treated granules area has nothing but the untreated area I have treated twice with liquids with only about 75% reduction. Just ordered another bag of granules and whammo this stuff is so much better than spraying the yard every few weeks. I can't wait to see how long I can go between these lawn treatments hoping twice or 3 times a year will do it.

these granules do not work on chinch bugs at least on my st. Augustine grass. I have about 15000 sf of yard and treated it with 50 lbs the first application following instructions and I still have about the same amount of bugs. I applied another 25 lbs to a 5000 sf area 2 weeks later and I still have chinch bugs.I have used the talstar liquid before and it seems to work a lot better as long as you have a few dry days so it will not wash off.

I applied Bifen L/P to my yard to control mainly fleas. Just out of curiosity, I selected a few 12" x 12" squares in the yard and counted the crawly things in each square. On average, I saw 11 bugs crawling per square. I applied the Bifen L/P and then watered it in. 24 hours later, I repeated my count in the same 1 foot square areas. On average, I found <1 insect or arachnid per square foot. This stuff is strong. So strong in fact that I purchased Bifen I/T for the house. Now it is very unusual to find anything crawling around. Every morning, there are dead spiders and insects on our porch and sidewalk. Simply amazing! Cannot recommend enough.

Bought to kill deer ticks in the woods behind my house. I got Lyme disease twice within 9 months. The consistency of the granules are easy to put out; never clogs in the spreader. I treated the whole yard and along all the paths through my woods. I also sprayed Bifen IT along everything that I couldn't get the spreader to. So far I don't see any critters crawling on the ground.

I have used bifen granules a lot over the years. This product this time DID NOT WORK. I used 8 bags and I still have mole crickets all over my yard. The granules were a lot smaller for what ever reason. Is why I had to reorder from my normal 5 bags. Will rethink using this product again.

Being allergic to all insect bites, we looked for something that would take care of them. We did! This is the 2nd time we ordered & will continue as long as we have these ant-termite issues! Thank you for making it available.

Well, I've gave this product my best shot. I did not work. I have small ant hills all over my yard. Little brownish/ tan ant. Like pavement ants. I put 50 pounds down the first time on my 1/2 acre lot. We got some rain the next few days. Not too much to wash it away tho. Ants reappeared within days. I bought 50 more pounds to try it again. Put it down and turned on lawn irrigation for 15 minutes to water it in. Ants still here. That's 100 pounds of product with in a months timeframe (125 dollars worth) Ants still making mounds. I put down the exact amount the bag says to kill ants. Maybe I have Superman ants here or something. I'll have to research some Different products I guess. Very disappointed with bafin l/p

This product along with Biffen IT and Cyonara drastically reduced the amount of springtails on my property which in return reduced the amount in my basement. Be patient and wait a week or two and you should definitely see the impact. I will do another round in a month. Also clean up any brush/leaf piles on your property and anything else these little bastards can hang out under and breed!

I used the bifen and covered my entire yard. The next day i came outside and found a dead baby snake along with several insects, worms and spiders. Today, I mowed my lawn and trimmed it. I put down more Bifen L/P and then I watered one side of my yard. When I went to move the sprinkler to the other side of my yard, there was a dead baby snake lying on top of the grass. Again, this snake looked like it was sleeping as the one before. Apparently the snakes are crawling on the granules and getting burned or poisoned, I don't know. All I can say is, I've never treated my yard and snakes came out of the grass and died on top.

Put down mulch in new flower garden, came with an outbreak of millipedes. Crawling all over the home, and inside were creeping in. The perimeter treatments didn't work, had a pest guy charge me $50 for some saw dust looking abatement, 4 weeks later no response.... Put down Bifen, in 2 weeks GONE. Now 4 weeks still no signs, put down another treatment and all clear. Treated mulch area, raked to mix in, and all around the property.

This is the best fire ant killer that I have found.You have to treat the entire yard but a bag goes a long way. I do not know if it actually kills them or makes them move, but either way they are no longer in my yard so no longer my problem. worth every penny

Just moved into a new home. Great thing is the yard is massive and plenty of space for activities. Crappy thing is it's right on a tree line and next to a little creek. Started noticing a massive variety of bugs and spiders…BIG SPIDERS. I don't do spiders! Got this along with the Bifen IT and laid a nice foundation of STAY OUT MY YARD. All the bugs got the message. I live in Dallas and we've been getting quite a few serious thunderstorms. Even after some heavy rains the message was still clear. I like to reapply every other month just to be safe. This stuff is gonna stay in my arsenal for good.

I was expecting GRANULES not SAND type product which I got...which is harder to spread with a regular spreader without TOO MUCH WASTE.

Product seems to be effective. I had a mild infestation of earwigs and crickets. This in turn brought scorpions! Haven't seen any since laying granules and spraying them with water. Would recommend this product.

I used this product about 2 weeks ago, it so far has done a good job get rid of a lot of Ants. I will know a lot more when it is down for a couple of months to see if it is still doing a good job. I have a Ranch behind me of about 1,000 acres and a lot of stuff comes in my yard.

I have chinch bugs taking over my lawn and a neighbor few blocks down with beautifull lawn,I ask to see her latest lawn pesticide company application receipt which btw she was charged $57 for that application and I saw it says bifen lp liquid which i think is being diluted in water,so anyway got myself in my computer and found the product bought it n I just apply it once a year for the past 3 years and since then my lawn has being beautiful as the neighbor who pays a $57 per application every 2 months.

Stone-cold killer. I live in SW Florida. Applied twice this year. This is the first time in a dozen years the chinch bugs left my yard alone. Connect the dots. I've already put onto my digital calendar to remind me every 6 months until the day I die, to buy and apply more of this thermonuclear warfare agent. Don't mess with my family

We have a huge slope behind our backyard and for years we have seen the fire ants come over our seating height rock wall. We could no longer sit on the wall to enjoy our view without watching out for ant. It was worse this summer, but we had tried many products that didn't work. I did some research and decided on Bifen granules. Best product to kill these ants!
