    Can Bifen it kill sod web worms and the moths that lay the eggs? Will it kill grubs?
    A

    Bifen IT is labeled for sod webworms and can kill moths that contact a treated area.  It will not work for grubs.  Triple Crown would be a good all round option for lawn infesting insects.

    Is Bifen IT safe to spray in grassy areas free range chickens are grazing? Will it effect their eggs?
    A

    Bifen I/T is used in poultry housing and facilities and as long as the chickens are removed from the area while you treat. You should still be able to use it in their grazing areas with no issue since they are not actually feeding on the grass/potential seeds place out but on the insects in that area after everything has dried. If you had any concerns with the Bifen I/T usage, another option that is safe to use in grazing areas is Essentria All Purpose. You still have to remove the chickens during the application but once dry is safe to return just like the Bifen IT. Neither product should have any effect on their eggs at all as long as you are following usage instructions.

    How often should I treat my yard with Bifen IT? My yard has a flea problem.

    A

    If you are using Bifen IT to treat an active flea infestation, you will need to re-treat 14 days after your initial application.  It is strongly recommended to also use an insect growth regulator (IGR) such as Archer IGR in addition to the Bifen IT in order to stop the fleas from reproducing.  Please take a moment to read over our Flea Control Guide for more information on how to implement a successful eradication program.

    Is it ok to treat edibles with Bifen out of season?
    I have a small indoor citrus on which I can not kill spider mites. Is it ok to kill the mites with Bifen and not eat any fruit until next season?
    A

    Bifen IT can be used on non-bearing fruit and nut trees that will not produce a harvestable crop during the season of application.

    Is there a reverse agent for Bifen IT for an affected pond?
    A

    We apologize but are unaware of anything that can be done to a pond if sprayed with Bifen IT.  You can try reaching out to the manufacturer Control Solutions for advice.  They can be reached at 800-242-5562.

    Can I spray Bifen IT everywhere in my attic, even on the insulation?

    Bifen IT can be sprayed in the attic but only in cracks and crevices; it is not labeled to be broadcast.

    Will Bifen IT help with clover mites?
    We have clover mites in our windows inside and outside. There are no plants near these windows and they are not low to the ground (near grass). We have tried peppermint and also had the bug guy come out three separate occasions. The bugs die but always come back. Will Bifen IT help get rid of them and how many times would we need to spray? We also have dogs in the house is this spray harmful to them?

    Bifen IT can be used to kill clover mites and will leave a residual of up to 30 days outside.  It will not repel them from the area but instead will continue to kill those that contact a treated surface after application.  We have a guide here with more information on treating and preventing this pest.  Pets need to be kept out of the area while products are being applied but can return once all surfaces are dry.

    Are Bifen IT fumes toxic to birds?

    We recommend that you do not apply Bifen IT when birds are present. All surfaces/areas should be completely dried and ventilated prior to the return of the birds.

    Which is better for general indoor and outdoor pest control -- Talstar P or Bifen IT?
    A

    Talstar P and Bifen IT are essentially the same product, just made by two different manufacturers.  Both contain the exact same active ingredient in the same amount.  Both are labled for over 75 insect pests and both are commonly recommended for general indoor and outdoor pest control.

    Can I mix Bifen I/T in same pump sprayer as Pivot 10 IGR?
    A

    Yes, Bifen IT can be tank mixed with Pivot IGR in the same hand pump sprayer. Follow the mix rate instructions on both product labels for the target pest you are treating.

    Will Bifen IT kill lice in the yard and home?
    A

    Bifen IT is not labeled for lice and there is no need to treat outside for lice as they do not live long off of their host.  We do carry products that can be used for lice control. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Head Lice for more information.

    How long for Bifen IT to dry for our pets to be safe?
    A

    Generally, after an application of Bifen IT it should take anywhere between 30 min - 1 hour to dry. After the treated area has completely dried it is safe for the pets to re-enter.

    Should you shake the Bifen IT concentrate before dispensing into sprayer?
    A

    Shaking the Bifen IT prior to mixing is not necessary unless the product has sat for a long period of time and you can see some separation or settling of the ingredients. If so, you can shake it until it goes back into emulsion and then use it.

    Is Bifen IT safe for use around tree frogs and aquariums?
    I see it is for other pets. Looking for a good product that is safe for all my pets. I have an issue with ants.
    A

    Bifen IT can be toxic to aquatic life, so it should not be used indoors in or near aquariums or reptile habitats. Bifen IT is safe to use outdoors as directed on the product label and indoors as a crack and crevice treatment. For other pets such as dogs and cats, it is safe if animals are kept out of the treatment area until the application is dry. If you are having trouble with ants indoors, then our Indoor Ant Kit is a great choice. This kit contains two different baits which get carried throughout ant colonies, refillable bait stations, plus Temprid Ready Spray to be used along doorways, window frames, and other places where ants are likely to enter the structure. You should always cover aquariums before using insecticide sprays indoors. Our most popular choice for treating ants outdoors is Taurus SC used around the perimeter of the home.     Will Bifen IT kill slugs?
    Slugs on the decks, crawling up the sliding glass doors. Nasty. Thanks for your help.

    Bifen IT is not labeled to control slugs. Slugs put down a continuous layer of mucus which makes it impossible for dried deposits of insecticide sprays to reach the actual slug. You will need to use a slug bait such as Sluggo Plus or Hi-Yield Improved Slug and Snail Bait to control the slugs.

    Will Bifen IT kill parasitic worms out of my yard that have infected my dogs?

    Bifen IT is not labeled for treating parasitic insects. We do not currently carry any insecticides that would do so.

    Which is better Bifen liquid or Bifen granules to treat 3/4 acre?
    A

    The Bifen Granules 25lb bag covers 5-10,000 sq ft per bag (depending on application rate used). The Bifen IT is applied at 1 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft. They are equally effective. It would be more cost effective for the liquid on larger areas.

    Will Bifen IT kill voles if sprayed directly on them?
    Will it kill snakes if they eat the dead bugs?
    A

    Bifen IT will not kill voles or snakes and should not be applied directly to them as they are not targeted species. It should not harm snakes if they consume insects which contacted the insecticide. We do offer snake repellents and products for vole control. Bifen IT will only kill listed pests.

    How long should I wait for dethatching after applying Bifen IT for chinch bugs?
    I plan to dethatch about 3 or 4 days after applying Bifen IT for Chinch Bugs. Will that make it less effective? I'm doing a 2nd application in about 2 weeks. Also, can it be watered into the lawn the day after or later? I used a hose end sprayer.

    You should dethatch first and then treat with Bifen IT for increased effectiveness. You should water in the product after application to reach the areas they feed.
