Bifen IT has a shelf life of 3-5 years if kept in a cool dry area. If you notice separation, that is normal and you can shake it up and it still be effective.

Yes, Bifen IT is labeled for bed bugs & leaves a residual that will continue killing. However, it is not the top product that we recommend, we generally recommend using Temprid FX Insecticide. While they both have residuals, they take the Temprid back with them once they are in contact with it. You may also consider using one of our bed bug kits.

Bifen IT should not harm carpets, but it also is not labeled for broadcast application to carpets and should only be used as a crack and crevice treatment.
Bifen IT should be applied every 30 days. If there is a lot of rain that month that may affect the residual it can reapplied at 3 weeks but not any sooner than that. Bifen is not a contact kill & leaves a residual that continues killing as it comes in contact with treated areas. Too many applications too soon will make the product stop working entirely
Bifen IT & Talstar P Professional Insecticide are essentially the same product. They have the same active, residual, same dilution rates, just made by different manufacturers.
Depending on what you're treating for, we almost always recommend using an IGR such as NyGuard IGR with Bifen IT. If you are just doing prevention there is no need to use one or when treating for pests such as spiders or ants. However, other insects such as mosquitoes, fleas, etc do require one.
Bifen IT is extremely toxic to fish if it touches the water. We would advise keeping a safe distance between the tanks & where you're spraying the product. Otherwise, you may consider using EcoVia EC which is safe around aquatic life. Just keep in mind that it will have a lingering smell unlike the Bifen.
We would recommend contacting a medical professional about Bifen IT coming into contact with your skin. We cannot advise on this as we are not doctors and as stated on the product label in regards to if this product comes into contact with your skin, "- Take off contaminated clothing. - Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. - Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice."
Bifen IT does not need to be watered in for general pest control.
Bifen IT will last up to 30 days outdoors, keep in mind a surfactant is not required with this product. You can reapply at 7 day intervals at the lowest rate if needed for heavy pest pressure or once a month at the high rate.
